I'm sort of shocked that Brian has a family -- I always assumed that he was manufactured at Amel out of old sails, resin and with furling motors for muscles. The man was built to sail and reminds me of half Han Solo (constantly fixing the ship he loves) and a ye olde pirate. So. Dang. Cool. I am a huge fan of the 'fixing stuff that broke' episodes and segments. Thanks so much Brian and Delos for sharing.

It may sound redundant, but this video, particularly Brian's prologue, is one of the very, very best. Brian's description of "being at sea" was almost hypnotic in its effect on the listener. Almost like the treasured long video of ocean sailing sounds. You all are a gift to the many viewers you have.

Tonight, my whole me, needs to go to sea. Thanks Brian for your nonchalant chat and the wind generator in the back ground. You sailors all need to remember, there are many of us, with landlocked circumstances, live just to hear that there is a wonderful life out there. Just like yours. Be yourselves and end enjoy.

This may sound incredibly stupid - but just hearing Ramukanji seems to reset my mind and soul now. It takes me to a wonderful, peaceful place. It creates a sense of joy and anticipation about what wondrous things I am going to be able to share in. It’s unlikely I’ll ever be able to sail again, but what you share with me takes away some of the sadness that that reality imparts. So thank you Delos.

This is one of my very favorite Delos episodes! I recognize myself in captain Brian’s reflections on passages. The great oceanic expanse, our insignificantness on the vast ocean, taking a long break from social media, being totally in tune with the aliveness of the present moment, are some of the reasons why I’m called to set sail. Being in the West Virginia mountains, just as far from the sea as John Denver says - a stranger to blue water - one may still get the vibes Brian is on about. The blessing and curse of phone and data coverage made its way to our hills since we’ve lived here, but you can just turn your phone off. Or leave it behind on your walks or hikes, but you can just leave it be. Or turn it to airplane mode and pretend it’s a Walkman! It can be hard as connectivity is genuinely addicting, but there’s so much to see, even in the middle of nowhere: Delos has its dolphins and we our hawks and hares, their waves and our streams, it’s all one thing and it’s where we belong. Love to all and thanks guys.

Brian I fully agree with you, we are to connected and tied to a schedule, we are made to feel guilty if we don't show what we have done with our time. We need to have a portion of of time set a side to enjoy nature, a a sunrise, a sunset, or anything similar that brings us peace and tranquility. We are on this planet and a part of it, we should in someway give back to it, even if just trying to understand it for a few hours a week in a fishing boat. Thank you Delos for one of the most thoughtful and serene episode yet. The constant harassment of connectivity is harmful and warps your sense of selfworth in todays society. I myself have experienced cutting off from the world, both on a bicycle tour and a snow wheeling trip into the mountains. The only time I "checked" in on my bicycle tour was at the end of each day to update friends and family on where I was at the time. Logged off after that update and shut off all online connections. On the 2nd day it feels liberating. Everyone should do this and try also to box off at least one or two hours a day where you are disconnected from the online world and are just with yourself and the ones that are closest to you.

I have just finished all of your videos from the beginning and I must say I am impressed. You two bros have done really well working together on a very small space and haven't killed each other lol. Having Karin as the first mate, come now wife and mother WOW that is amazing, congrats to you both. I can see now, why it is hard to have a full crew for the big crossings (The Indian Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean) then have them leave, so very hard, also great people and they added a great spice to life, hey Brady lol. I am so glad that there is the 4 main crew again, that makes life easier.. I think in some ways the imbalance is why Lisa left (Just my thoughts). Now in the early part of 2019, you guys said you have court up with your videos and not so fare behind anymore. Not sure what happened but as you guys are nearly in the Canary Islands, the last video was you sailing out of Puerto Rico. That would make it at least 6 months behind again, so what happened???
