I can't imagine seeing color for the first time as an adult. I grew up with a Dad who was an artist. Color was very appreciated in my house. I feel so happy every time I see someone put those glasses on, and this guy's moment is no exception. I've seen videos like this of partially color-blind people wearing these glasses for the first time, and one thing is always the same: you may be a man, a woman, strong or weak, but you always cry. I can only imagine the powerful emotions that these people feel seeing colors they've never seen before. It moves me, really. I would love to have shared Brian’s experience the first time he saw a sunset while wearing those glasses! I have done cross stitch, needlepoint, and other kinds of hand needlework for over 45 years, and the peace I get from these hobbies has literally saved my life on several occasions and brings me tremendous joy on a daily basis. I would be absolutely LOST without the ability to differentiate among colors and to appreciate their slightest differences ... I can't imagine how wonderful it would be to see something for the first time like that. We take so many things for granted when it's just "the norm" for us. Seeing this man weep when seeing orange for the first time made even my cold, dead, jaded heart beat a bit harder for him.
