The Eagles are doing the right thing. If you play Saquon, you have to play the entire offensive line. You have to play the entire offense. You cannot risk injury on any of them. They haven’t had a rest since week five. Let them rest.

Playing Saquon = playing the starting OL and possibly WRs. It’s not just about one guy. Everybody is assuming what will happen if they don’t win the SB how will Saquon react. Well… how will Saquon react if he gets the record but Lane Johnson tears his ACL in the game? I bet not that great.

I love Bwest but truthfully all arguments lead to if Barkley gets injured in a game that could be created into a virtual bye it would be a reason to fire a head coach. If he gets injured in a playoff game at least that was a game that mattered. On top of that yes to spike the football against the Giants is tempting, you know what else is tempting. It's almost the equivalent of taunting for Barkley to play that last game against a Giants team with nothing to play for except possibly to shutdown the taunting by ankle, knee or headhunting on their former teammate.

I was against it, but if the entire team wants to go I'm fine with it. My problem is it took 30 carries against Dallas to make 2,000. Hyperthetically, 30 carries for all time record, 30 carries per game including Super Bowl (hopefully a win), that's another 150 carries more this season. WY above anything he's ever done before (even 120 carries if he doesn't play against the Giants). This isn't Madden.

Lets be honest, this wasn't Sirianis decision, this decision came from Howie and Jeffery Laurie after consulting with the medical staff, trainers, coaches, players and analytics department. Also lets not pretend that if the Starters played and someone gets injured missing the playoffs, 97.5 and WIP wouldn't be calling for Nick Siriani's firing.

QBs and WRs don’t get hit nearly as much as a RB. And, starting Saquon to chase the record means starting the entire OL. What if Saquon himself doesn’t get hurt but Mailata trips and tears his ACL? If all it took was 1 guy to go out there and get the record I’d be fine with it, but that’s not the case.

The Giants played their entire team in 2007 against the patriots with nothing to play for and lost nobody got hurt and they wound up beating those same patriots in the superbowl!! Coughlins words when asked why he was playing all his starters in a meaningless game when playoff positions were already set. He said you can't play this game scared and we lost but we learned we could play with them and it showed in the super bowl!

The team is shooting for the super bowl, and are mostly healthy, why risk the possibility of either Saquon or any of the other starters getting injured and missing the playoffs...I would like them to go for it, but I also see from the coaches point of view....

If Barkley wants to do it so bad then fine. He can play with the backups. If he gets hurt then cut him after the year. It’s most definitely not a team record. Not a single person on any single show has called this “the 84 rams rushing record”. Barkley is great but if his priority is a record then he’s the wrong guy. Find guys who want rings.

I would love for Barkley to get the record, but no way this a team award and some starters would not be into playing. To much risk as two players were injured in this same game last year. The NYG have a bad run defense just like the WFT did two weeks ago and they shutdown the birds running game because they knew it was coming. 20 carries for 40 yards once the birds committed to it. The NYG would know the game plan before the game started and load the box, gang tackling, guys looking to make a name for themselves.

Giants need to lose. They’d be more than happy to let WR’s get 10 TD’s and send 11 at Saquon. Any team can stop the run if they don’t care about losing. He wouldn’t get 101 yards.
