I hope this means we’re going to see a release from the Paley Sessions!

Hope so! Aside from TLOS and SMiLE, I'd say the Paley Sessions was Brian's strongest body of post-Landy work.

@@briank4972 I absolutely agree, you can tell he was really feeling the material.

@@briank4972 While things like Rio Grande, TLOS and Reimagines Gershwwin, are similar to Pet Sounds and Smile, the Payley sessions reminds me of Love You and Adult Child!

I love this deep cut. My dad this had it on CD. I'm glad I got to listen to it. I never would have heard otherwise. Its so hard to find.

This is the exact approach Brian was using in 1963. Glad for this to see the light of day.

A terrific backing track to a terrific song.

This is really good, actually. The production timbre has an infectious punch to it. I can't say the same for what was officially released three years later with a certain other colaborator. For the life of me I can't understand why some material gets released, yet other material doesn't. But, hey, even if I end up hearing a gem of a song decades after its original completion date, my ears will still celebrate. Please officially release the entirety of the Wilson/Paley sessions! Darn good music.

One can but hope that posting a comment On Brian Wilson's official KZbin channel can amount to something: I sincerely hope we see an official release of the cream of the crop of the songs he and Andy Paley recorded together in the 90s. These songs are inspired and deserve a place in his musical canon.

Brian…love how you are able to make the music feel as if it’s taking you on a drive! Nice use of those bass saxophones too! Love it!!!💓

Baritone and bass saxes have always played a significant part in Brian's music. He used a bass sax on "Sloop John B".

Also bass sax on early BB stuff…62-65…hidden deep but there. Grew up with BB…1st time I heard ‘409’ back in 61’ I laughed, but conned the 45 RPM from my brother. I drove family and Ppl nuts in neighborhood and school playing their music over and over and over. I played piano with my mom who was a concert piano and we would sit at piano together banging out BB songs…dad was a electronics guy and built sound systems…he built one in our house with different range speakers…could hear and isolate different tracks…Brian’s voice in those days were fantastic and the music rocks. One of their greatest record was DANCE DANCE DANCE…a lot going on there and Brian really wailing. Saw them many times…Mike Love in those days was a pretty decent sax player. Loved Carl’s voice also. Dennis was great in concert. Except for Brian not being there met the BB backstage in Atlanta. I have ALL their albums that have played only once to record on professional tapes. Better than CD’s and “re-issues” I got to travel in Asia and found some of their stuff recorded or released in England. The Ppl today who call themselves “The Beach Boys” are a joke.

He actually uses a few different techniques than he used on Salt Lake City. Stretching out the notes, and falls in that bouncing between octaves with the bass then gets really fancy with the key change
