Yes it does and you exactly got the point with that second one. It takes some practice but with a shelf full of eye drops the experience really isn't that bad.

like the features, setup was difficult for some of my devices (August Door lock, kzbin.infoUgkxhB5YOMNj04GuoAosExygP4cH-dKeb4aB Bose speaker)... but all switches and outlets (5), thermostat, tankless water heater. Unfortunately all I can do is turn on/off Bose. It doesn't support volume or changing channels, but I believe that is due to the particular speaker I have.... Worth getting if you already have other devices to use it with... I don't sit around and ask Alexa questions much so that doesn't really matter to me....

+Abel Charles You'd unfortunately need a normal Chromecast (the one with HDMI) for the TV and a Chromecast Audio connected to the sound system. But if your sound system has bluetooth, you can connect it through that, too.

+Abel Charles Does the sound system have Chromecast built-in? Otherwise you need a Chromecast connect to your TV and your sound system for this to work.

Hey partner, do you use your sony wifi speaker and chromecast audio with the sony music center app? Is your wireless setup using chromecast to synch your sony wifi speaker with with the other chromecast audio speakers and are all the speakers in sych and not lagging or have a delay between eachother?

I only used the Sony app to set the speaker up and then uninstalled it. Grouping is done through the Google Home app with other Chromecast devices. And no, there is no lag. If there is, you can also adjust the latency manually.

+Dawn P It doesn't matter where it it is, it sends the commands over WiFi, so it could technically be on a different floor, it would just make sense that it can here you when sitting in front of the TV. And of course it works with Netflix.
