Nice to see so much of Rhodes that most videos don't cover (things beyond Rodos Castle/Old Town, which is very cool in its own right). Funny that you and Gabriel Traveler, who also happens to be in Greece right now, were let down by Google Maps in today's videos. I booked my flights to Greece yesterday on what is essentially a retirement scoping trip.

I spent a month in Greece when I was 20 (1970) and a week of it on Rhodes. Slept on the beach for several nights in Lindos. The water in the bay was so clear, you could see the to the bottom of the bay (20-30ft.?). From your video it looks like Lindos has changed a lot since then. It looks very touristy. It is too bad the line to the acropolis was so long. The views are spectacular from the acropolis cliffs. FYI - the huge artillery scenes from caves in the movie The Guns of Navarone were filmed there. Enjoyed the video 👍.

It's almost never needed and it's not really an international driver's license -- it's an international driver's permit and is just a translation of your current license. I carry one because we live overseas in developing/off-the-beaten-track countries. In Europe you really don't need it. I get it just for developing countries where I don't want hassle if they say I need one. I've never needed it though.

Wow. Thanks for showing us current situation. Roads with centre lines! Obviously things have changed.😅 😊My son still tells the story of me driving up a river bed. Naturally we returned the car damaged. Lindos beach used to be the nude beach. Where are your shots of the nudes? Right below the Temple of Anthena, which I think you used Acropolis, was where it is said St. Paul stopped on one of his voyages. If you are into that history. . I do hope you get to the miles of white beaches on the other side, although maybe lined now with hotels. Enjoy your stay.

Talk about romantic, I was with a girlfriend at Anthony Quinn beach and there wasn't a soul in sight anywhere. When we were at Lindos, nobody anywhere either on the way back driving on the other side of the island it was raining on and off and it made the water look so turquoise (probably even a better older Hellene word for turquoise) it looked almost impossible. When I was in a beach in Kas, Turkey just a week before the water was the bluest I have ever even imagined water could be. Truly in my opinion the closest area to paradise on earth and Ive been around. Just havent been to Bora Bora and Papeete yet, but soon. Huge difference going in February and may go back next year, the views can just reset your mind. By the way if you ever saw the movie "Where Eagles Dare" that is where it was filmed.
