Hello dear Carrie and Brian, this is Deniz who was your host in Antalya! It is great that you shared your possitive comments. Thank you very much for that, I got many guests giving your name and wanted to stay in my place. As I mentioned you a little before, I only accept for long term guests which is minimum 70 days or more because of new government regulations for short term. I will watch your beautiful videos, your videos are just perfect and sincere, wish you all the best!🙏👏👏

I like your videos about Turkey but as a Turkish person(i used to live in Istanbul but now i live in Usa) i need to add some points. It is not really right to say that Turkey is Middle East. It is a very controversial subject actually. Turkish People usually prefer to call themselves Euroasians or simply Europeans (which might be debetable but that is how we define ourselves). Another thing about Istanbul is yes the city has a horrible traffic but since it is a really huge city (apart from tram and buses) locals use subway a lot. It actually surprised me that you did not really mention that or even try that. Ps: If you'll ever go back to Istanbul again try to visit the hip Asian Side Moda. It is in Kadikoy district. And in the European side Nisantasi-Tesvikiye area has a beautiful city park called Macka Park where young ones and locals spend a lot of time. I love Prince Islands too. Take care guys💖🧿

You guys are spot on with the cost of travel. You are High IQ travelers, as we are. It's not that difficult to budget $2,000 a month USD if you are smart about it. We are currently living in Mexico. Our budget is around $2,000 a month. We don't splurge, but we don't skimp either. I've been to approximately 21 countries and know how to negotiate for most things. Your intelligence along with the dry humor is a great combination. I see your channel growing quite a bit in 2024!

Turkey is a beautiful part of the world and we loved it as well even though we did not experience it like you have with long stop overs. We ventured a bit more off the beaten track as we had our own transport so that made it easier... to a degree. It is definitely a unique part of the world. Being Australian of course a trip is not complete without visiting Canakkale and Anzac Cove before we headed across to Greece. We did tend to stay 2 or 3 nights in most places and people soon got to know/recognise us as they were not used to seeing Australians let alone ones on a large motorcycle coming into their little villages/towns. The people are absolutely beautiful and very welcoming. Finding female facilities in small towns ..... not so easy 😃 You are certainly giving us some great tips especially for places to spend our non Schengen time in.... It is a balancing act.

Yes, 100% agree that it's a great place to exit the Schengen too. I can only imagine, not many big motorcycles around that area. Thanks so much for watching. Cheers 🍻

Brian you ARE a lean, mean, fighting machine with a mean haircut!! Don’t change! You cost breakdown videos are always favourites for me because I can actually see that this way of travelling and seeing the world is possible. Thanks for keeping the details and putting it together. 69 days in Turkey sounds like a great way to spend your time, with memorable experiences. I don’t think I recall seeing the Indonesian food but need to check it out (my favourite Indonesian food was in Amsterdam). Safe travels and Merry Christmas to you both as you head back to Washington for some family time!! Cheers! 🎄🎅🏻🍻

Glad you enjoyed Turkey. It's a wonderful place I definitely will visit again. Thank you for mentioning registering with the US State Department STEP program (or whatever similar program in other countries). It's really important to do that. I was in Qatar when the war broke out and was thankful for the emails I received from the embassies in the countries I was in or was planning to visit. I agree with you about the call to prayer...pleasant to hear except when it's before sunrise! Enjoy your time back in the US. Look forward to your videos in 2024!

Thank you for the informative round-up. Covering the 10-hour night bus, the cost, and speaking of the bus experience is extremely helpful and comforting since I'm on a fixed budget and will be traveling solo. I love when the videos cover transportation to each new location (especially with video of the stations, airports, and buying your tickets etc.). I know it isn't always easy to film when transitioning and moving base camps with luggage/bags, but they are super helpful and I really appreciate the hard work and forethought involved in their creation.

@@BrianandCarrie I think it will be right up your alley as beers are $0.75 to $1.50 and you can always get a $2 cheeseburger wherever you go but the beauty of it is in all the small towns and natural beauty. I highly suggest furnas and taking a dip in the natural mineral pools. Cete cidades is on a glass lake. You can also visit a beautiful tea plantation and then take a puddle jumper over to terciara island to see the UNESCO main town and then visit one of the world's only three of exploded volcanoes that you can walk through

Hello again. This is my last plug to put turkey coat of living in the “cost of living “ playlist to which I am admittedly perhaps too attached. I want the “cost of living” playlist to be complete. 😂 I figured out each video can only be in one playlist. So you guys did a great cost of living at the end of this turkey video (which I love fyi). So of course this whole video should be in turkey playlist. Since you guys are expert KZbin editors now….there must be a way to copy just the end of this video and make a separate “cost of living turkey “ video, right? 😁 Anyway even if you don’t I’m still grateful to you guys. Your cost of living vids are my fave. Happy new year. 🎊

When I visited Turkey I got the visa stamp in the airport on arrival, but that was awhile ago so it pays to check. I would love to go back and see more. I had a hotel that was very close to the mosque and honestly I never heard that 5 am call to pray after the first morning. I was in Amman Jordan which I also liked, but I was probably much further from any mosque since I don’t recall hearing any morning calls. I had a different girlfriend that didn’t like early mornings, so I didn’t get to see a lot of things on that trip that involved any travel time. It just means I have to go back myself, or find a more compatible travel partner. I was there near the beginning of the Syrian civil war which didn’t affect me aside from rents going up since Jordan is probably the most stable country in the region

It was like $10 per week back then. I traveled across the border into Syria and made my way through Jordan, into Israel and then Egypt. Have you tried any youth hostels? Most don't have age restrictions. Some have private rooms. In Europe I used them almost exclusively.

I’m changing my itinerary to shorten the time in Croatia to just 2 nights Split, 1 night Dubrovnik, 2 nights Hvar, 2 nights Korcula. The original plan was 11 nights in Croatia. I have fallen in love with turkey and if we only have a few weeks, I’m thinking it would be worth it to shorten the time in Croatia to be able to see Cappadocia. I was even almost thinking about bypassing Croatia, but I think I’d rather a shorter plane flight going into Split & plan to take the bus ride into Montenegro. Since y’all have seen both Croatia and Turkey, what do you think about shortening the Croatia trip? Thanks for your input! Laura
