Its beautiful.. and to think when i was a kid you'd hear great music on the telly every night. The cop shows in the 70s etc

Zappa to Sting to Megadeth to Brian Eisenberg. Vinnie can do it all better than anyone else.

He's one of the few drummers on earth that can inhabit any genre, and make that genre sound like it's the only one he's ever played.

The Megadeth part wasn't a big deal, though. Imhb. You could hear he isn't a metal drummer

Brian, thank you for posting your work here on youtube. For some of us in far flung corners of the world this is invaluable for finding new artists. Love your arranging. Thanks once again.

When we think of the great drummers...Vinnie can sit in studio and read other parts like a master (here) not just play what's in his head like so many others (which is great)...Vinnie can do BOTH! Gadd is in the same league...I love the complexity of Virgil, but can he sit in studio and play/read charts like this? This imo is the pinnacle of professionalism...

Hi Brian. Really nice music and orchestra. I'm really enjoying it. Also great to hear Vinnie C. playing "orchestra music". Still fond of the Bill Meyers recording from around 1986. What are the reason for you to use a clicktrack on this project? I'm a drummer, and often use click in the studio when they prefer the advantage of moving parts, and very steady tempo for more pop oriented kind of music etc. And also playing live when we use prerecorded brasstracks on shows. All the best. Michael Axen

Hi Michael! The click keeps everybody together, and especially in that environment and especially with all the crazy music I write (lol) it's essential. Thanks for your interest and support!

Why don't we get to see the flautist? Contractual issues, or is it an overdub by someone else?
@sibelius7912 жыл бұрын
Hello! Bob Sheppard played the flute solo, but he overdubbed it after the session in his home studio because he was having a hard time hearing the live mix in studio. It's the only solo overdubbed on both of my albums.

@@sibelius791 Thanks for replying! Every time I've seen that video, I've wondered. I bought a copy of this album a few years ago; great writing and playing! Nice to see Christian Jacob on it; I was at Berklee with him!
