Only pre Wrangler and 2 door Wranglers are true Jeeps. If it doesn't honor the Willys MB configuration, it's not a jeep. It's just a part of the Jeep misc garbage line.

This 2 door Rubicon is the only true Jeep of this line. The rest of this generation is really bad. But with this, you get the Willys MB configuration and 33" tires. For some that are adventurers and not rock crawlers like myself, it's perfect. You don't have to lift it and dump another $15+k into getting the geometry correct, etc. I would only go to a true 33 once these tires wear out. By true 33, I mean 295/75/17, not 285. For someone looking to beach/dune and trail wheel, this is ideal. Yes, it's expensive but with this rig, there's no need to mod the living crap out of it until you're penniless. Good review, well done.

Great vid, inspiring! Ordered my first jeep a few weeks ago, excited to get it in about 6-12wks. Been wanting a wrangler for many many years. Ordered a 2dr rubicon in sting grey with a soft top. CA is a great playground for the Jeep....and when I get more time, I’ll venture out to other amazing off road locations like Moab! 👍🏻👍🏻 I’m planning to keep it stock....with the 33’s and rubicon components, I don’t want to start with all the aftermarket modding.....at least not anytime soon.

There's no need to mod the 2 door Rubicon model. I had 29" joke stock tires on my 2 door JK X. I had to mod it and it was freakin expensive. Two and a half years later and it's a great rig. But it was a pita! The only thing I'm changing is going to true 33's - 295/75/16 from the 285's. My rig is awesome with stock 3.73 gears with LS. You can save yourself a shit load of money and time. Screw keeping up with all this imbecilic modding. Jeep On! 🇺🇸

it looks beautiful, great to see the 2 door shorty, that looks even better to me. Jeep has really outdone themselves and did a great job, they kept the original looks while at the same time giving it modern and fresh cues without ruining the basis. it is as rugged reliable and capable as ever. nothing can touch this in terms of offload capabilities.

I have had my 2019 Rubicon 6 weeks and I love it! I feel it will go anywhere like my 1985 CJ7 but more comfortable. The comfort on and off have been great! It drives like a real Jeep, not like me 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland, which has been off road. After all, it’s a Jeep! I very highly recommend the Rubicon to go anywhere in comfort and without hesitation. As my Return address says (and prosthetic eye says) “Only in a Jeep” and “ it’s a Jeep thing, you wouldn’t understand”.

Great video. You need to teach others on how to do just the right amount of talking. I had a 1997 TJ 5 speed for 5 years as my daily, and of all the cars I’ve had (944, 997.1, 991.1, M3-2008, S5-2018, F150 Lariat Supercrew 2003 & 2011 , Q7-2007 and current car: 2019 M5-Competition) that was my favorite. Still regret selling it.

A-T/ G-C I can say I’ve had the similar experience. My 97 TJ made me fall in love with the Wrangler. I’m currently buying a JL Wrangler 2 door, so excited.

Thanks Brian for the great review. Cinematography was also well done. Aesthetically, in my opinion, the two-door Wrangler looks great, especially in the Rubicon trim. Good to get the perspective of a non-off road guy without a heavy southern accent.

I just bought a 2018 Rubicon and was going to get a ram limited. Interior still doesn’t match with the new Limited ram and I am going to modify the steering column and change tires but I think I may the best decision

Well I got a Jeep renegade trailhawk. But I love the 2 door Jeep Wrangler look. I just don’t know if I wanna trade my renegade in and start over with payments. Wrangler looks so good in red and two door with it opened up. Which is better to get in terms or reliability so far? V6 or turbo engine?

this road didnt look like anything you would need an expensive Jeep Rubicon for. Was mostly flat, I think even a VW golf would handle this type of road..:-)...Rubicon is built for much more than this, No point to spend $ 40k plus on a vehicle and take it on a mild road and claim its great at offroading. Those trucks are meant to handle so much more. But otherwise great looking 2dr Wrangler!
