Glad you enjoyed the nails ;) and yeah, we want to try to show the whole flight envelope, but when you get a plane like this, it kinda HURTS not to go by at 100+ MPH ;)

Notice the intake ducts favor pulling air more from under the plane. Reverse shoves air more downward as a result. Thrust vectoring! Spoilerons or simple down ele mix oughta do it.

Nice! Glad you have the same setup we do. It's a huge blessing!!! They paved this small strip for when they do funerals. The other week, it was CRAZY...we went out the front door, and about 200-300 tractors were running up and down the road for like 45 minutes. That was COOL! By far the most traffic we've ever had, even compared to funerals ;)

you need a approx speed of 20 to 30 milles for that front wheel stay on the ground with the ele mix you did. The best way to do it is to mod the flaps to be spoilers when TR is a activated and aileron as flaperons. You will see the struts compress into the road lol. My extra330 120 inch 170cc Extreme flight make a rumble when flaperons go up. Lol

Adding any kind of control deflection on landing fatigue mode will not push the nose down because all you have is the rollout speed helping you which is probably only 5 to 10 mile an hour. It’s not like a prop plane blowing air over the surface and if you had reverse thrust on the prop plane the air is going to wrong direction.

Great to hear! 20% - I'll look at that next time I'm out flying. Love this plane, and such a fun problem to have to deal with - the reverse thrust woes...what a cool challenge, and keeps you wanting to fiddle with the plane to get it "just so" - I actually love that about this plane! She's a rock solid performer in the air, then landing is a whole other thing! It's funny, I'm beginning to really enjoy the challenge of some of these planes, but at the end of the day, I want them to be "easy" to fly so everyone can do it.

The viper is like when the 4 star-40 came out in my time, I love nitro and prop jobs, but I like the sport look and flight envelope of the viper line. But.. I'm still buying a su30 first before it's discontinued..
@BrianPhillipsRC3 жыл бұрын
You may be disappointed...Just saying. The SU30 is a scary experience...and it's HUUUUUUUUGE (Super Long...like more than 6 feet, if my memory serves right) and no flaps, so for our environment, it was just too much. Take it from me, you will not just prefer the Viper, but you will FAR prefer the viper 90 ;)
@RAYROTHSTEIN663 жыл бұрын
@@BrianPhillipsRC noted, but I already got the su30.. I'm ripping out the receiver and putting in a frsky s8r with a satellite receiver. Doing the the flaperons and tailrons as well. Twin 4000 6s packs and if it seems slow, ill look into FMS or JP fan units. I'm use to pattern and pylon planes on tuned pipes. As well as 1/4 & 1/3 scale 25lbs flying pigs in the air. I'll get a viper as well, but I just noticed that horizon stopped making a pnp su30 version, so that means it's coming to an end for it.

Great video Brian and Megan. You mentioned crop dusting and I was curious so I googled it: Despite technological advances and the aviation industry becoming highly monitored and safety conscious, crop-dusting remains a ‘dangerous line of work’ for its pilots. In 2017, there were 67 incidents involving agricultural airplanes, with 7 of these resulting in a fatality. Some Perspective Planes have been used for agricultural purposes for almost 100 years, so it seems strange that this industry is still so risky. In 2017 0.02% of AG pilots had a fatal accident, compared to a fatal accident rate of 0.003% among GA pilots. The same year, there were over 40,000 people killed in car accidents in the US alone, giving it roughly the same fatality risk as crop dusting. Although, it is worth noting that we hop in our cars every day, whereas this is not likely the case for AG pilots.

@BrianPhillipsRC3 жыл бұрын
You can have throttle at any position and flip it...but there is a bit of lag...so be careful. Also, it's GOTTA be hard on the motor bearings when you go from 100% full throttle / speed to -100% full throttle / speed...so use caution. Even if the bearings last, the motor mount and NOSE of the TT Evo might just rip off after a few amazing maneuvers ;) P.S. I don't want to discourage your using it, BTW, just want you to keep the risks in mind, as you get super crazy ;)
