Hey everyone! I made this video as a very in depth tutorial for our 2022 family members who just purchased or are shopping for new Camrys or AWD sedans. The XSE is something very special.

To be fair the second muffler tip on both sides is not functional. It's fake. Don't know why Toyota did that. Still a fantastic car. I ordered the TRD.

I like the review! If I could make suggestion, I would like to see a comparison with Camry’s competitors when it comes to horsepower, price, cargo room etc like the Accord. A lot of people who are watching these videos probably made their mind up that they would like to buy a full sized sedan but they don’t know if an accord or Camry or even Nissan Maxima would suit them better so to hear about how the Camry stacks up against those would be a nice addition to the video. Great work though!

The best car I ever had was a 2011 Camry XLE V6. It had 370 k on it when I finally let it go. Even until it’s last day it would smoke a lot of “sportier” cars off the line

Give me a naturally aspirated automatic transmission power train over a turbo and /or cvt any day. I hate the recent trend of small turbo charged engines, especially if they’re paired with a cvt. Add to that the god awful start stop technology and there is no way that car will last 300k trouble free miles like a good old naturally aspirated auto tranny.

Fogs are helpful for illuminating the ditches when driving through deer or wild life country here in Central Wisconsin. Headlights alone are more focused ahead, where the fogs tend to cast light low and to the sides.

I fell asleep once in the back of a car only to wake up in a spin due to the driver hydroplaning which happened to be right next to a semi truck. Fortunately we came to a stop facing the other way but since then I have never fallen asleep while riding in a car.

Very helpful review. I bought the 2023 XLE AWD with the panoramic roof which I really didn't want but Southeast Toyota Distributors had yes not a typo 2 AWD models available a few months back for like 5 states as no one wants AWD in the South. Oh and it took 2 months to show up pre-sold and when I just looked at the Dealer's website they have 13 cars that are not pre-sold. No Camry's, one Corolla, two Rav4s and lots of trucks. Why AWD in the South? I look at it from two perspectives, safety and am I always going to be living in the South? I came into some heavy rain on a local freeway and whether or not the AWD kicked in I couldn't tell cause she stuck right to the road. Highly recommend. Keep up the great reviews.

In September I went to my local dealer to factory order a rav but the sales person told me that it would take three to six months to get what I wanted so I saw a 22 camry xse on the floor that had just arrived that morning so I now have 1320 miles on it and have already ran into a pot hole from hell and had the dealer check it out and it didn't even nock the alignment out, wow! what a great car and the warden loves it also.

I just got mine recently and it's the exact same build you have except mime is black on black. I had to actually wait two months to get it because when choosing this car they didn't have any in stock so I had to wait for it to be built. I love the car and enjoy driving it. The factory sound system is above average as well and honestly I don't think it would be necessary to upgrade it. You mentioned something that had me feeling a lot less than smart which was in regards to cruise control. You said RES stood for reset which I always thought it stood for resume. Like as in the last speed you had set it to. That's what it does so that's why I've always referred to it as the resune button. So I'm a bit confused like when I was a young man taking my first driver's test at DMV trying to obtain my first driver's license in which ended up being a failed attempt as I had missed one of the road sign questions by having defined the yellow traffic light as meaning to proceed with caution instead of to prepare to stop. Don't judge me if you can help yourself. 🤣

@@brianruperti I didn’t know if when it went from 2 Wheel Dr. to all wheel drive if you could feel a difference when driving in snow. That’s about the only thing that worries me.

@@johnsguitarmusicanddemos Driving in the snow you’ll feel less wheel slip. But if you’ve made it this far driving FWD cars you’ll be fine. The low pro tires can get a little slippery. But driving experience varies some people are just fine in most conditions.

I thought your review was thorough and professional. I’ve tested a ‘21 SE Hybrid and liked it. I rented an XSE like this one and liked it too. I didn’t really notice a difference w/ the transmissions. The V-6 has effortless power but maybe not enough gas mileage for me. I like features of both the SE & XSE. Love the red seats & panoramic, but I can live w/ just the moonroof for the hybrid. I also like the Premium system w/o the floating screen, but can also live w/ that. I will buy one eventually, just a matter of ‘23 or ‘24. I also test drove a Honda Accord hybrid Touring and wasn’t as impressed. I actually liked the Civic Touring better, but still prefer the Camrys. Also will be a matter of the exterior color w/ the red seats or a different color w/o the red. AWD sounds like a good option, but what does the traction control do compared to it?

The AWD would be better than the trac control because all the trac control down is de-power any wheels that slip, to regain traction. The AWD actually lets you drive all 4 wheels. Much different experience in snow, gravel, sand, mud, dirt etc.

I have this car (2022) with black emblem overlays. Almost purchased an Accord but didn't like the headroom in the back seat. Thought the Honda was really nice, but I was a little disappointed. Thank you. Yes I use it. For me it’s secure enough. If someone hacked my app I can override it with my key fobs and then delete the app and let Toyota handle the rest.

@@latenight11 The key fob controls the vehicle. You can’t start the car w the app, and then get in and operate the car. The car requires a key fob to drive the car. Idk how Toyota would handle it, but it’s their app I pay for so I’d expect them to fix it. I would definitely download the app and use it, it’s awesome.

I couldn't even get my hands on a pearl white v6 before someone else had a deposit on it. Nice cat but def not "worth" all these appalling mark ups.

I have a quick question I hope you can answer. I just got one of those to replace my 2018 Camry. I noticed that the heated seats take much longer to heat up and they're not that warm. What is your impression of those?

Interesting I thought they were pretty warm myself. If I’m wearing a thick jacket they won’t feel as hot.

Brian, Thank you, good review, Three questions 1. Are rain sensing wipers available? 2. If you have Toyota navigation is clock setting unnecessary? 3. Is the radar cruise system stop/start? That is, automatically stop for vehicle ahead when it stops and when clear resumes cruise with the res button.

Yes they’re available, it’s a redundancy for sure, and the cruise slows down and will resume

3. It will stop on its own. If the car ahead moves within 3 seconds, it'll resume, otherwise you can tap the gas or press the cruise button and it'll get going again. I've heard though that it can take quite some time to get back up to speed, and leaves quite large gaps even when crawling in traffic. @Brian Ruperti can you comment on that?

1. Yes they’re available 2. Navigation clock may need to be set (depending on if it already was) 3. Yes it is full speed cruise control but I always advise stopping the vehicle on your own and resuming cruise if you’re in stop for traffick. It’s more oriented for high speeds (for safety)

@@russellhenning9914 I always steer clear of ever cutting wires and splicing things. That’s my opinion. This is to avoid problems down the road. You could always just buy a little converter piece online that makes it convert from A to C. Makes life easy and doesn’t risk chopping wires.

Very good review. I have the 2020 xse silver metallic with black roof ,mirrors , and emblems with red gut . I was considering trading it in for the 2024 xse but problem is I can’t find silver with red gut and many dealers are selling it for way more than MSRP because of the red gut or the v6 too because they aren’t making them anymore with 2025 models .
