Excellent video. It is a shame that other car companies are either not offering a midsized sedans or are only offering them with small 4 cylinder engines. I hope we see a few companies come back to the V6 soon.

Thank you for watching. While I agree with your statement I seriously doubt will see more V-6's. With stricter EPA guidelines we most likely will see more Hybrids and EVs before V6s

I’ve been driving a full size truck since 2005. I love having a truck and plan on keeping it, but lately I’ve been feeling like I’d like a nice car again. Something nice and reliable but with some sport like vibes to it. I’m going to test drive one of these.

I love my 2022 XSE fully loaded such a great car I highly recommend them! I’ve owned over 50 cars and trucks in my life at 37 and this is honestly one of my favorite cars. Relatable to my Lexus IS 350 F Sport. I wish it came in AWD in the V6 other than that I love it. The FWD is great as well! I’m very impressed with my city mix at 25 MPG all on regular unleaded. I have an aftermarket cat back exhaust, intake, tai-lights, and the black out package. The ventilated seats are killer to have especially in Arizona. If you’re on the fence about getting one don’t be you will be very thankful with the purchase. I also have become so spoiled by all of the safety features I love the lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control and the heads up display. The panoramic moon roof is 👌 so nice at night and really opens up the car. Very sporty and perfect exhaust note with a great balance of power to weight ratio. The JBL premium sound system is also very nice and has a great clear crisp sound. It also has a buttery smooth 8 spd transmission and it’s a lot of fun to throw it in Manual paddle shifting sport mode and line up with people. They don’t expect a Camry to leave them in the dust. It will impress with a smile, reliability, and comfortability! Get one!

For sure I think they did a great job designing a sporty family sedan and it’s large enough for a family and comfortable on road trips, I do think it could use a tune even in the V6 to just give it that extra torque and zing of power when you need it the throttle is a little spongy and not as responsive as my IS 350 F Sport, I could see the turbo kit making this car really fun though I don’t think it would be quite the same as it is FWD. It’s a heavy car you can tell it’s built like a tank when driving it, but it’s also sporty like a compact car would be and the lines IMO are 🔥 in comparison to pretty much any mid size family sedan on the road today.

@@threadoflife Isn't the Camry V-6 engine a detuned version of the one that you have in your IS 350? On paper they look very similar with only 10hp difference. The Camry V6 is bigger but actually few pounds lighter than the IS ( I was surprised) It is definitely the difference in suspension, tune as well as FWD vs RWD. You have the first hand experience in both. I have not driven the new IS, but I did RC350 and that was fun. I love the build quality on the Lexus.
@threadoflife
@threadoflife Жыл бұрын
@@MattTheCarguy great question that is probably very true that they are similar motors and it’s detuned in comparison with the IS. I will say the 350 is more peppy I believe stock they are 306 HP. The sport mode just seemed really strong and maybe pushing the car rather than pulling it made it just that much more fun especially from a dig because you didn’t have to worry about any torque steer or wheel hop. I do plan to tune the Camry to make the throttle a bit more responsive and provide that lower end torque just smooth everything out throughout the Rev band to make for smooth consistent power. It’s fine as is but not perfect. With a solid tune I think the Camry will really wake up.

The rear power outlets are a dealer accessory. Because when I bought my 2020 XSE v6 it came with rear USB ports The mpg in the v6 will impress. I get 28 mixed driving and highway mpg I’ve even gotten 40mpg When you accelerate from a stop don’t mash the gas. Put in sport mode and gradually press the gas and as you pickup speed go all the way to the floor

0 to 60 MPH is neither 5.1 nor 6.0 seconds, depending on the driver's skill. A Professional driver is 5.3 seconds while an amateur is 6.0 seconds. If everything is tuned, reprogrammed, add a few performance parts, best tires, and ideal road/track conditions it can go 0 to 60 in 5.1 seconds. Exceptional drivers will often get 5.7 seconds. It is not a 5-second car, most will find it to be a 6-second car. What's holding the Camry from being a 5-second car is the 8-speed transmission, a manual trans would be so much fun.

You generally able to negotiate a lower price as MSRP is not Dealer Invoice Cost. Chances are you could get $500 to $3000 off. Don't like the Offer or Price, go to other Dealerships and shop around. MSRP is the norm since COVID-19 has hurt dealerships. Dealer markups on cars, just walk away from the place. Don't play the Salesperson game and becareful of the Numbers game. Get everything in writing if promised something and have it signed by a Dealer Manager or Finance person. Do not rely on the Salesperson having the authority to offer you something since in reality they can't. Never sign anything without reading and thinking it over, need more time, go back another day. Most Deposits are Non-Refundable. Dealer minimal is usually $1,000. Avoid making a deposit on the 1st day as the car should be there tomorrow. Common sense and smartwise. Give yourself time, anxiety and being impatient causes rush decisions. Salesperson will pressure you because they will say, can't promise you it will be here later or tomorrow. They want your money now and signature on the contract. TFS way of ripping people off by increasing ARP every January. Beware of Toyota's famous "QC Holds" aka Quality Control delays. The new way in the last few years to shaft you over. The day the Toyota Dealership Finance Manager runs your Credit Check through Toyota Financial Services "TFS" you have a 30 Day window on the current APR. If you let the Credit Check go passed the 30 Day mark, your APR agreement is Expired. TFS will then issue a higher APR aka higher Interest Rate. You can go to your own bank or credit union for a pre-approved loan hopefully their APR is less than TFS. Dealership markups on cars is B.S. (don't pay and walk away), fake increase as We Put Nitrogen in the Tires (Prove it), They will attempt to sell you Accessories, Warranties, Paint Protection and Underbody Rust Proofing. Be careful of who the 3rd Party Service is. Dealership gets a Commission on selling you 3rd Party Services and offer you Zero coverage because it is not a Toyota or Dealership provided Service being performed by them. You are best to seek and get Services you want on your own terms. Don't let the Dealership get a Commission on same service you could obtain for a Cheaper Cost by going there yourself. Toyota has been in the business of App Subscription Plans. After the Trial Period, do not Renew as cancel them because they are not needed or required. Except REMOTE START because the car computer is rigged not to work unless you pay for the plan. Another Toyota ripoff scheme. $80 per year. Please consult with Toyota as this may change in the future and require no payment. **Automotive News reports that, starting in 2023, buyers of new Toyota and Lexus vehicles will get a 10-year free trial period for the company’s Safety Connect and Service Connect systems. **As long as you equip your new Toyota or Lexus with the company’s new infotainment system, you get 10 years free. For Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto get Ottocast U2-X Pro dongle for $99, it works great. If you really want a Toyota VSA warranty, you think cost is too high, call as many Toyota Dealers you want in the country "USA" until you get a nice low price. Your dealer wants $2,500 for 7 year / 100K miles Platinum Plan, call around to other dealers as might get one of same plan for $1,900 maybe as low as $1,600. Huge mistake, never ever Trade-In a vehicle, it is like going to the Pawn Shop. Sell your car Privately or may consider giving it free to a family member. Never sell to a friend unless they know everything you have done to the car and they know what is possibly wrong with it. Selling to a friend can destroy your friendship. For example, your 2015 Vehicle you paid $35K and in 2023 is worth $20K. Dealer offers $14K as Trade-In, you just lost possible $5K to $6K in your own pocket.

Thanks for the comment. One thing is that deposits are ALWAYS refundable. It is against the law to keep customer's money. They may tell you that so you don't back out of the deal but that is not true. As far as accesories i dont believe in "forced" options but just because you dont think they are necesaary other people may find it veey useful. And I always recommend telling dealer that you will pay cash and always negotiate "out the door" price. Financing has too many variables and allows dealers to play games ( adjusting down payment, rate, term etc.) BTW in you calculation you mentioned safety inspection. Why would you need one on brand new car? And with extended warranties always ask for extension of manufacturers warranty vs aftermarket which may not have the same coverage and may not be accepted everywhere. Also check deductibles as they vary.
