How to Culture Isochrysis Phytoplankton

In this video I show you how to culture Isochrysis Phytoplankton. I go in full detail, step by step on how I culture it. Iso is very sensitive to light and is easily contaminated. It’s because you probably used F2 without silicates. It requires silicates. There’s a slew of other things but also, it looks like Teteaselmis as well got in there with Nanno.

hey man, I am wanting to start my first nano phyto culture. is it ok to start off with plastic containers? I got them from amazon. I liked them because they have a spout already. I have most of the items needed including F/2 and the same pipettes. I also have a light that should work. I am wanting to do 2gal at a time and have 20 16oz sterile platic bottles to keep it after it's done.

Yes, it is perfectly fine to use plastic to culture in.
