Because front engine mounts look the same as older models and you've like done many of them, it would be easy to expect newer Odysseys to be quick and easy- and they are.... -ish. They're even easier to do if you drain the coolant and remove the top radiator hose or both. Knowing what to expect is key. That's what this video is set to do. Give you a picture of what's involved up front.

With some heads up on what exactly you need to do- it's not bad. No heavy lifting or tricky maneuvers except the passage. With 2 hands it's a cake walk.

Great video! Not trying to discredit your efforts because this is really valuable content to people that want to do the work for themselves but there is an easier way. I am an ASE Master Tech with quite a bit of experience on Honda's. For this particular mount it is easier to drain about 1/2 gallon of coolant, remove the upper plastic on top of the radiator, disconnect the upper hose at the radiator, lean the radiator towards the front grill, remove the condenser fan and then the radiator fan. One you've done this, you have full access to the mount and it can easily be removed through the gap where the fans came out. Just so you know if you ever had to do this job again, it takes about an hour. Again, not trying to discredit your video, just sharing another way to do the job.

True!! definitely...all i did was remove cooling fans as well. didn't have to touch starter, front harness, etc.

This is why we love you Brian, some person is going to find this video about 2 minutes after locating that engine mount on their own car. Then basically have the whole process layed out for them by you. You haven't stopped doing these videos for the sake of youtube views. Its fantastic.

just to help others it is much easier to loosen the radiator and condensor so their is play remove the radiator fans, and slide the motor mount out, you dont have to remove egr, or the starter or any coolant hoses non of that

What year was it? You could do that I guess. Not sure it would be faster. Any time I can avoid spilling fuel, coolant or oil I try. Saves clean up time and clean up material. Also saves that customer call about weird drips or burning smells.

Thanks for the video. I'd been looking for a video to replace my wife's Acura MDX front motor mount and I stumbled on this. The build on this Odyssey looks pretty close to the same. I couldn't find any useful vids for the MDX. Wondering about the fellow below that posted to do it differently.

Brian thanks for the video. Today I reached a couple of impasses: 1) bottom two 12mm nuts holding EGR pipe in place are rusted in place. I soaked them with PB Blaster and now waiting. What wrench or socket do I use to remove the nuts. and 2) what tool do I need to remove the two 14mm bolts on the left/right sides of the cast (aluminum?) retainer that sits on top of the mount and secures it to the block? I’m hesitant to use the boxed end of my ratchet wrench with a cheater for leverage, ur can’t get a socket on either of them.

@briansmobile1, I also have a 2013 Honda Odyssey, is there an aftermarket mount you'd recommend. Like other's, I've seen many reviews saying aftermarkets are not good, but the OEM ones from Honda are expensive, so I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Would this be the root cause of an annoying vibration when speed exceed 70mph on Pilots. I got a 2012 Pilot that has a high speed vibration when it exceeds 70mph. I already did 2 tire and balance. I'm taking it in for a third which will consist of the Hunter Force balancing in hopes it will eliminate that vibration. Other forums claim it's the lower fork bushings, and others claim it's a VCM problem. What symptoms did the Odyssey have that your changing the motor mount. Thanks Victor
