Thank you for your informative video 👍 We are planning to take the old girl cross country to visit family in Texas. Recently replaced the timing belt and a tuneup. Next, the motor mounts. To bad they don’t sell the internal rubber part of the motor mount separately.

This mount was hardest compare to rest of the mounts. It took me 2 hours. I also forgot the heat shield 10 mm bolt, i couldn't yank the mount out just like in the clip. I had the car on the Plastic Rhino Ram and i was on my back the whole time my neck got really tired and strained from constantly trying to look and work at the same time. My old mount was not broken down into little piece, it was intact and very clean. Someone must have changed not too long ago. My side mount(passenger's side ) which i changed yesterday looked exactly like your old one , everything was broken into piece not damping any vibration from the engine at all.

Those aftermarket Ebay engine mount did not fit exactly in term of the 4 bolt holes position again the subframe. I could only finger tighten 3 except 1 which I have to you 14 mm socket and wrench to start it which should not be the way you start tighten a bolt , i could have cross threaded it. I'd recommend OE parts as this job was way too hard to do second time. But for $85 for 5 mounts from Flea bay, I can't refused :) . I bought the mounts last year and watched a lot mounts replacement videos to have the guts to do it. @1141 Those warning: I ran into problem. The engine mount bolt sleeve was little long then the upper engine mount. I installed the 4 14mm base bolts first then I tried to align the transverse bolt through the upper mount and lower mount, they didn't line up correctly. I was using my leg to pump floor jack with a piece of wood to cushion the to jack up the engine and eye balling the mating of the mount as the same time while half of my body was under the carriage. I had to crawl in and out about 20 times , I was so tired at this point near end of installation. While the upper mount was rising up, it pushed the longer-than-normal bolt sleeve up twisting the rubber damper so I used mechanic pry bar and a lot of WD 40 prying them apart so the bolt sleeve would line up with the upper mount hole for the 17mm transverse fit through them. Luckily, the rubber damper twisted back to horizontal position and with a few pumps of floor jack at the tranny with my right leg, they line up perfectly. Without power tools, it was a pain to start and tighten the transverse bolt into place. Took me another 10 minutes tighten it down all the way. Thanks for the video. I wouldn't recommended it if you don't have any impact tools. The car was on the ram the whole process so I was not worried about my safety at all. Thank you.

My 2002 was a bear had to remove the engine bracket bolts also and drop it down the front of the subframe. Getting the new one in there in position with the bracket flopping around was something let me say especially while laying on my back for hours. Its doable tho. Tight squeeze

Would have been helpful to state what trim level this was. Lack of sunroof indicates ex or lx. Ex-l and touring have the VCM J35 which has active motor mounts which are more likely to fail and more complicated to replace. Good video anyway for ex and lx owners thanks for sharing.

This particular model did not have active motor mounts.

I have the same issue the rear engine mount is something very common with Honda odyssey or any Asian car the only challenge that I found doing this is to jack up the engine to be aligned with the bolt that gets inside the rear engine mount the more I lift it up it doesn’t go anywhere you’re using something very solid here like 4 x 4 post but the vehicle is on the left already which make it easier but if you’re on the ground I don’t know what’s gonna work to be able to lift this engine up a little bit in order to be aligned with the bolt because once it’s aligned it’s an easy job so do you think 4 x 4 post short one should work if the car on jackstands And should you lift it up from the oil pan or under the transmission or from all the way back near the rear engine mount

Yes, there was a vibrational noise association with the bad mounts.
