Brian your perserverance and positivity is much appreciated! Not giving up after your stroke and keeping the tunes rolling all these years is inspiring to us all. Love the new compact set up. I totally get it. also good point on DJs just using what they like and are comfortable using for set up. Good luck on the gigs! The Festival one would be wicked

I just realized when you mentioned it………it’s been over 12 years of me watching your videos. I remember when you had your stroke and the journey to now. You have always given such great advice and I NEVER even THINK about your condition….just the content. Anyway, I APPRECIATE YOU! For keeping us motivated in this Dj stuff!!!

Hello Brian, again, another awesome video, I’m glad I stumbled across your KZbin channel several years ago. You are very inspiring like you said you kept relevant and didn’t feed away like most when they get a severe disability. You conquered and you moved on, that’s awesome, love your videos thank you. I’ve been DJing for a very long time and I started back in 1978. Keep the videos coming, you are awesome!

You were just showing an ULTRA MICRO SETUP that you designed for your gig at the club (due to space limitations)....it's what works for you. Great job mate. Cheers, DJ Paul, Melbourne, Australia

I've watched all 3 of your videos on this and these are always my favorite videos from you. I love watching how you figure out solutions to problems you run into. Great job! I think the final product looks great for you!

Man, you are an encouragement to me, in fact I am going to make a ceremony rig based off of your rig, I've always used just random parts, but seeing this , it such a great idea, I've seen others, but I like yours. Thanks.

Nice work, Brian! I have a mini setup in a case that is loaded with the Numark dj2go and a Behringer 502 mixer, it's main use is for last minute gigs and kid parties. Sometimes we just need to get the job done.

I think you've done an awesome job Brian, not just on this project, but everything over the last decade or so since your stroke, people who criticise obviously haven't seen what you went through and what you overcame and are still overcoming, like you said you were determined to not dissappear on disability and I think you can be proud as hell of the job you have done. I really wish you the best with the upcoming club gigs, what goes around comes around eh!. Well done fella, 🇺🇸🇬🇧

Congratulations! Cut a couple slots in the foam supporting the power supplies for air flow/cooling. Heat and electronics don't mix well. Closed cell foam is an excellent insulator (heat).

@@briansredd Infrared thermometers have gotten dirt cheap typ > $20. They're great for finding hot spots in cases. Good for wall outlets and extension chords. Also double as a great stove top cooking aid.

Can you return that mixer? It doesnt have MIDI. That means you're screwing with the mouse and keyboard on your laptop. Theres a bunch of 10" scratch mixers with MIDI nowadays. Shuttling thru tracks on a knob is a lot easier and starting up and pausing a track using a button on a mixer is 99% easier than monkeying around on your laptop IMO

I'm not sure. The 250MK2 is on the Pioneer DJ website, but is listed as "out of stock". However, many retailers still have them in stock. New they are like $380-something. If you want one, they are out there.

I know you finish your club system but why don’t you use the dbx go rack with your system, I use mine all the time.
@briansredd

I don't feel like there's a reason to use any additional processing between your mixer & speakers UNLESS there's a SQ issue with your mixer or files. I used to use all kinds of processing gear to try to make up for how my system sounded. Technology has come a long way, and has became a lot more affordable in the last 20 years. The DJM250MK2 has a great sound card, outputs, and PFL / DB meters to easily achieve a perfect 0db unity gain. Put anything between your mixer & speakers & you'd have to be a pretty good audio engineer to get that unity, and I doubt it would sound any better. So, I keep my short audio chain clean & no need for anything else. I do use a GOrack as a microphone mixer on my Mobile / Wedding rig, but I run it thru an AUX on my DJ mixer. It's also a cool back-up mixer / preamp if your mixer or controller were to fail

none of us want to carry around massive amounts of equipment. gone are my days of dragging around wooden cabs and massive bins. whats going to hit us hard in he UK are all the Green traffic management schemes penalising drivers of older vehicles. DJ-ing ins't the best paid profession in the UK and more venues will suffer not being able to get contractors into their sites.

Oh wow, first time hearing about this! Maybe tiny systems & services like Uber would be a work around? That cost, of course gets passed onto the customer... which could become their new reality
