Seems a lot of people are ridiculing Josh for how he acted on his stream, keep in mind it is his stream and he can say whatever he wants on it. Outside of his stream, Josh is a super great guy. He is just very passionate about what he does, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Brianstormed you really should compete in GWC this year. Your play style is stifling, you could go deep.

I'll think about it. Connection issues have always been the bane of my runs though. Why does it matter if I can beat a few top players and then run into a guy with West Coast host. I honestly can't deal with that.

Yeah it's normal. A lot of people do that because they still want to feel in control of the game. If they claim it's lucky then they feel they will bounce back easier. Then after the game you just don't think about the plays that happened.

Not directed towards Brainstormed. Only to all the other internet warriors: Josh is a great guy and provides amazing content for the NHL community. This game makes most people get worked up. If it doesn't, it's because you are horrible at the game and act like you don't care so you don't have to admit that you are mediocre at best. I watched this game live and completely felt what Joshy was feeling because I also hate losing. Also, it's almost 2020, and there are still mindless sheep that say "salt." - Go back to your dungeons.

His reactions are me when I play the ai on superstar in Squad Battles but then I still dominate and win big. Game is frustrating but I have learned to not get as angry anymore when you can find out the tendency of the ai and stay calm you can do better. Find that a lot of the community is like him when playing online though. Makes for a good video lol
@martmet86885 жыл бұрын
Yep I then to get very frustrated sometimes too, I won 12-2 in Superstar against Ray Ferraro's team. But online against average players or against 70-80 OVR teams sometimes I just can't score anymore and lose the puck as soon as I get close to any player with no possibility to get lose pucks, my players get tired 2x faster than usual etc. But you're right, if you keep calm and try to learn not to trust your AI too much, you should be ok. Also I defend exactly like Josh, this is how it's done. Don't over commit, stay in the shoot lines and pass lines if you can, and be patient. It actually works.

Last played NHL 13, but 99.9% of the time I played Right D in Drop-In games, so it's taking me some time to get used to being the one who actually HAS to score, with more than just a rocket slap shot! I miss drop-in! Anyway... Dig the channel... Shouts out from Malden (originally East Boston)!

This is great. Way to take the high road. (cocaine high that is) So did you change your forecheck from what your regular strats are? Also, how would you adjust if you were facing a forecheck like that?
@Brianstormed5 жыл бұрын
Haha, thats a good one! I actually did not change my forecheck strats, I would just always grab a third guy to forecheck and pressure him. I changed some of my other strats to better handle him in the offensive zone as well as set up more plays (tight point and leave zone early). Adjusting to a forecheck like that is difficult, as I can't say I've been in a similar situation. However, I would say you just have to play fast. Get rid of the puck as soon as you can. When I take control of the puck in my zone I look for that long stretch breakout pass instantly. If I don't have any options, I make a supporting pass. If I can't do that, I dump the puck out and chase after it. Hopefully one of those three moves mean that I retain the puck once I'm out of my zone.

Yes, I went to Tight Point / Leave Zone Early so that my players were covering man to man but were ready for the breakout (Schiefele/Laine were getting decent rushes as you saw). My forecheck stayed in tact, but I think he was just surprised at how well I was moving my players around coupled with the high energy slider.

People dont understand that playing a box isnt skillzone when on the pk. Its the strategy my college team uses, its the strategy that literally all nhl teams use (along with the diamond), and it does not work unless everyone is in the middle forcing the puck carriers to the outside.

Brian was playing a box. He was chasing in and around the box with one person . It’s a skill when all 5 people are playing live. It’s scrubbish and lazy when you go it on what’s supposed to be a manually played and setting enabled game .

Some of the biggest issues I have with this game now (aside from the AI in general) is the OP defensive AI, and the lack of user defensive responsibility. User a player to cut off the player with the puck, then switch off to let the AI strip, or knock you off the puck. All this game is anymore is who can glitch the most. Pretty disgusting

@@Brianstormed Brian, Do you mind if we ask you to make a short video about your own team squad. Hahaha! Dude that’s me against the AI. Keep up the great work, love the videos and information you bring to them. Question on a different topic, anybody else notice the puck stop dead on the goal line after being “stopped” by the goalie? I’ll shoot the puck that hits the goalie under the arm and the puck momentum just hits a brick wall... that’s not the goalie... I think EA should look into that, I see it happen more often than it should ( In my opinion)

P.S I've been look for the 1-4 cocaine in the strategy's section but can not seem to find it anywhere. Do I have to go out and buy the cocaine and give it to kuzne....
