YIKES. I was thinking NHL 18's Thread the Needle, lmao. It gave a +3 boost to Speed. My mistake, thank you for the correction. Still, Thread the Needle is a great synergy to activate because of the shot accuracy increase. I'll pin your comment so that people are aware.

You dont want to go out of your way to activate them. But if you are a point or two away, id say look into activating it if the synergy is good enough. Later on you can try to activate SP or WC and focus on the expensive cards so that you can have a stacked fast team

@@Brianstormed I basically went off your earlier video of budget centres. My centres are Giroux, Bergeron, O'reilly and Peca (I love him as a 4th liner, he is perfect). Then i built from there. Giroux has WK so i picked up players with that synergy to activate it and make him better. I did that with the rest of my centres. I then packed Karlsson so i had to activate BL too, and now my team is kind of restricted to those synergies.

Dont feel restricted to synergies. BL, NP arent that important so you can get rid of them whenever you need to upgrade.

Loved the video, but missing that Al Iafrate love. He may be slower but his other stats make up for it. He is like a wrecking ball out on the ice and disrupts so much play.

I did consider him but I really dont want you guys using slow defenders. If its your personal preference then check him out for sure!

@@Brianstormed I got him off the untradeable Classic NHL pack. So, I tried him to see how he was and he did not disappoint. So he is my top LD. Works out pretty well in both Squad Battles and Online. Nobody really flies by unless I have a slow reaction time, which is very rare. I think he is my underdog card of the year, thus far.

about defense: I was div 1 or 2 player in NHL 19 but now I cant go out from div 6 and losing games in champ seasons. Don't know man but its frustrating. Sometimes I lose in OT against very good player and sometimes I lose against some shooting machine on garbage goals. BTW I run the same strategies as you for long time. Just I go more with trap then forecheck because I get too many goals on the rush. If I play contain puck they shooting from good positions. If I go with high pressure then cross passes and easy goals. Also, problem with going out of the zone and reacting on high pressure and forecheck. Too many lose packs and easy shots for the opponent. Thanks in advance for tips. I like your video against Josh. I was following your channel since beginning and I was really happy that you beat him. Cheers.

5'10 is too small for me. He is going to get pushed around and miss a lot of pucks coming toward him from the opponent. The speed and shooting is fine though.

Hey Brianstormed, I have a question for you. So I did the 70k pack and used the collectible on the set. I got Peterson and Nylander. I haven't used the prospect set this week (or obviously the fantasy collectible for gold collectible trade in). Are there any more prospects worth trying to get with the free collectible or do you think it would be a better idea to save it?

Anders Alstrup I would say Martin Nečas is a good card to get. Even if he doesn’t get to 92+, he’s already a good card at 80 OVR with 91 speed, a decent shot, and 81 faceoffs. Other than that, I don’t have anyone else, so that’s who I’d recommend.

One round is enough for both rewards, however keep in mind your overall ranking will be significantly lower than your season ranking

5'11", 80 OVR, while nice speed not that great acceleration. I think there are just better cards out there, but if you want to activate X yeah he is a good choice.

Surprised you didn't mention the icon brian campbell while he is 5'10 he has pretty much the same stats as theodore while saving around 80k

I'll be honest with you, I looked at the fact that he is an 83 OVR going for OVR 20k and thought nahhh. But looking at his stats, he is definitely a solid pickup. I think he may just struggle a bit in the D zone because his other stats aren't all that great.

Buff is a solid card and an honorable mention, however I feel the other cards are just a smidge better. Buff is a bit slow and I dont want you guys getting burned on the opponents quick breakout so thats why i dont recommend him.
