Are you running the 330s or the 350s? And what size tank is that?

i had the 350's but those were crazy strong and now run the 330s which are perfect

Looks a bit strong if you think about it these fish don’t swim in that shallow ocean water and the flows aren’t this strong in their real environment

Hey man im getting some brown stuff on my sand the stronger i put my lights. I stir up the sand bed, it goes away, 2 hours later its back. Any thoughts ? Its also literally directly under the area where the lights hit.

Sounds like diatoms to me, I wouldn't have the lights stronger than your corals need.

so - what does this do for the fish? does it help with oxygenating the tank, or is it a 'jump out' deterrent?

Mostly for the corals they need moving water, but the fish also enjoy some streams to be able to use some force, especially in smaller tanks and fish like this Dori.
