I genuinely do hope smaller gyre pumps are made in time. Nano tanks are getting more popular every year, and the rest of the gear to take care of smaller scale tanks is too. I myself only have the space right now for an IM 14g peninsula, and I WISH I could get a gyre flow pattern/coverage in that size. even a small, super compact 500gph model would be a GODSEND for the nano reefing community, and it would sell gangbusters.

The Maxspect gyre does have a lot of different flow patterns and I use two of the gyre 350’s on my 600g and really like the flow it generates.

What do you think about the noise? I have 2 xf 330 of the last generation, running 3 years and I love the flow. Now I am thinking of upgrading to the cloud edition but only if they are quieter, the xf330 are quite loud, unfortunately

March, make sure your wifi router has band steering turned off. The Red Sea stuff won't connect when your router combines 2.4ghz and 5ghz channels into one wifi name. If you can see a Fragbox 2.4ghz and a Fragbox 5ghz when you try to connect to your wifi, then you're good. Always use the 2.4ghz with Red Sea and all other equipment as that's what they require.

They are a pain to clean but the sheet like water patern is unmatched....I use the Jebao ones in my frag tanks to keep the bottom waste free

I’m actually glad you said this about connecting to the Red Sea app I have a red sea reef wave 25 on my 55 gallon and I’ve had the pump running off the controller for a year and have never been able to connect it and I actually struggle with flow using it to I wish I never bought it cause now it’s basically worthless and has no value we’ll defiantly not the worth I payed for it 600 with shipping and I hate even talking about drive me mad 😡 but Red Seas video on it sold me and it’s not user friendly what so ever like she said in the video

THIS is a Great video, please can I ask for you opinion on my next light upgrade. I'm currently running a 90cm mixed reef and my black box lights are not long for this world. I think I'm either going to go for the XR 30 G6 pro or for the Neptune sky, both are far from cheap but which would be better for me?

I love the channel Run & Gun videos unplanned and not scripted, but if you do a 10 min search on KZbin where maxspect have spent the effort to put out a video explaining how to set up the pump’s it would have been easier for you than being confused for 10 min

Would say be careful or you will end up with one that's too powerful and need to run it at 10% with no random flow. I have an older one on my 5ft tank and it's too much most of the time, until it slows due to crud then you can vary the power a bit. I wouldn't be without over but get the size right

Any opinions on the Neptune sky? Currently using 2 Red Sea 90 on a 110 gallon tank. Coral growth seems okay but not great. Would I still need to get 2 neptunes if you think they are good?

With the red sea doser, if you sync it to a reef wave you shouldn't have that problem.

@@coreywildbore7716 at least Red Sea responds to tickets when you put them in the system. I bought a Maxspect Jump return pump that died within two weeks. Put in a ticket and they never responded. Been over a year now.

I’m returning mine they are nowhere near as programmable or capable as you suggest. The app is the worst I’ve ever used. Unless the presets work for you these pumps are garbage.
