I really admire your ability to camp in temperatures like this Brian. It’s not something I could do. I’m Australian and we get a lot of heat over here but it’s just not something I could ever do to myself I don’t think. Thank you for sharing.

Kudos to you for camping in this Texas sweltering heat! Don't know how you could eat when you are sweating so much. I would be sick! I like the new table and tripod fire! You are a trooper for us!

Thanks! I actually do enjoy it, but I would prefer below freezing temps😂👍🏻

Hey Brian. I have a similar Ryobi fan but its also a mister. You can drop the attached hose into a 5 gallon bucket of water or hook to a water hose. Also runs on AC or rechargeable battery. I use it almost every time working in the backyard. Has 2 speeds. Thanks for another great video.

Not to put too fine of a point on it, but: at ALL times, 10 or 12 bottles of water in my truck. And every camping trip, the seven gallon aquatainer full of water from home for me and my dog. "Water is life".

I’ll be carrying more for sure. Between all my bottles I had about 2 gallons, but that wasn’t enough.

Did I miss which park you were at? It's funny my thought process in Texas this time of year - "Wow! Cold front! Going to be in the mid-90s!! Let go camping!" But I do it without AC. Just have a little fan i run through the night to give me a breeze. Heat is definitely draining. I use a Sawyer so I can drink water from the camp water. Camp lights are just terrible bug attracters. I did my first solo backpacking when it was 94 degrees. Wet towels sure do help and fans are your friend. thanks for showing/sharing info on the table. You are not kidding - those campsites are CLOSE! I cook noodles or rice with packaged chicken when it is so hot - works great and not so much heat from cooking. Had a neighbor that had a full on fire to cook...to each his own...

Holy itchy skeeters! You really suffer for us, stop it! Got some tips that may be helpful for you for future trips. I do the vintage trailer thing and I have a little 17 ft. Airstream, I will say that aluminum does NOT reflect sun and heat, it roasts you out like and oven. You'll want to make sure your little fridge is in the shade or covered with a light-colored towel, sheet, etc. so it doesn't have to work so hard. A lot of us VT peeps bring little blow-up wading pools and use them a lot, they are amazing to stick your feet into when it's hot out. A collapsable dish pan or bucket works well too. A coiled garden hose with a sprayer would be good when you know you have a water hookup like you did this trip. You were sooos super close to having heat stroke. Please get some sort of water filter like a little Sawyer filter or Katadyn pump, it sucks that you had a water spicket and couldn't use it. I'm hoping you have some sort of water storage in mind for your overland adventure coming up, I like your channel too much to have you melt and not be able to do anymore trips. LOL

love your videos and your review channel...but the torch thing serves no purpose...other than wasting gas and it looks dangerous...I certainly wouldn't want around kids or pets or dry climates...I have gotten into the ambiance of the lanterns and the gasifier pits which look so much better and a lot more attractive to a camp setup...look forward to the Ozarks trip...l grew up at Lake of the Ozarks...be cool to see the Ozarks videos...much love...stay cool in the heat

I assume the water from the spigot was non potable. Couldn’t you boil it with your jetboil to make it safe for drinking. I think I’d keep bottled water in my truck at all times. We just got back from a 4 day camping trip with temps in the 90’s and high humidity. It absolutely drained me
@BrianWatersOutdoors3 ай бұрын
I would not drink any campground water. You could boil it, but I ended up having enough to keep my comfortable. 2 gallons is NOT enough is what I learned ….

Ouch, that's some high temps. Does the campsite water faucet not supply potable water? A 10L/2.5gal Scepter water container doesn't take up much room, and they're sturdy. If I would have planned ahead of time, I could have been camping today and tomorrow, with overnight temps of 58°-61°.
@BrianWatersOutdoors3 ай бұрын

@@BrianWatersOutdoors I carry two 10L Scepters, plus always have a 24pack of bottled water. So, I take it that the camp site spigot isn't potable water? Good episode 👍
