[Tidbits and Clarifications] - Kenpachi didn't neccessarily get stronger, it's just that many forget that He was allowing Ichigo to strike him because he was enjoying the battle. Remember that initially Ichigo was no match at all, the Soul Society was more so a preview to what the Captains could do. - Nnoitra's release is "Pray ... Santa Teresa" he is a Praying Mantis, which have 6 legs so here he has 6 arms. The Praying Mantis symbolism also explains his instinctive hate towards women that are stronger than him. Female Praying Mantis' devour and eat the Males after mating, they are the dominant of the two sexes and male mantis are destined to be overpowered and killed by the female Mantis. - Another interesting aspect of Nnoitra is the constant moon symbolism, His Blade is Basically 2 Crescent Moons, his horn is also a Crescent moon, and his collar is a Full Moon. This is because Nnoitra is a character who reaches for the moon, he seeks to be strongest and claims to be as much though he knows deep down that he can never reach it, so he targets the weak to feel as though he's actually the strongest.

I liked Nnoitra's fight more in the manga. (Chapter 307-313) -There was no random comment from Ichigo or Orihime in the fight. -It felt more how much of a beast Kenpachi really is. -In the translation I read, Nnoitra was savage but didn't swear and his phrases were a little bit more clean and poetic. Apart from that the manga gives more information about Orihime's abilities, like for example: -Tesla tells Orihime "Don't even think of fighting me with your abilities. Your power is immense... but Rikka-the Reishi-tai it's made of is weak. I can destroy it easily". -And it's made more clear that Orihime's Shunshun-Rikka can reject/knock back Ichigo even in his bankai state. Even Ichigo was surprised "Is Orihime's Shunshun-Rikka that powerfull?!"

Nnoitora is my top 3 fav Espada, he is such a great written villain besides he is dck, I really like what they did to his death by him closing his eyes and Nelliel opening, and you could see Nelliel caring about him. He is not based of a centipede but praying mantis. He is a pretty complex character overall
