The Throne of Heroes exist outside of time and space. Once you've been a recognised as a hero, a copy of you is saved into the Throne of Heroes. And can therefore be summoned to any point of time or parallel timeline. It's why it's possible to see the same hero, but different variations of them. They are heroes from other timelines/possibility.

Yup... and to support the above (this is my opinion only), archer try to kill his past self to create a paradox so that the future shiro didnt make the pact with counter force thus removing him from the throne itself, though the possibility of this version of shirou n his version of shirou could also be of different timeline/world there is possibility that it wouldn't work, n since the throne itself is not affected by time that is another variable itself... Also despite his brute n battle maniac kinda attitude lancer (my favorite servant😆😆) is rather honorable n prideful warrior as his alignment is lawful neutral so ordering him something against his code would come with consequences... N lancer also has capabilities to be summon as caster due to his knowledge in rune magic he learned

One that is based on 'the legend of Shirou Emyia' as his story came to be known and Archer, stored separately in the counter force section, who's literally is older Shirou, from a different timeline. The spirit Emyia is recreated whenever summoned, based on humanities current perception of his story, but Archer exists with continuity, remembering everything that's happened to him and knowing that he has no end.​

@@Closetorouter619 That first Emiya is actually Nameless (Fate/Extra Archer), while he lived and died in the same circumstances as EMIYA, he made a contract with the Moon Cell instead of the Counter Force, besides, while Shirou Emiya died as a criminal, there was still a legend about a "Nameless Hero" that saved many people, that Hero being Shirou, which is why he managed to ascend to the Throne by his own merits (Reflected in him using the name Nameless instead of EMIYA), and also explaining why his personality, while similar, is still different from EMIYA.

Lancer hates Archer because Archer is a disgrace to Heroes. Noble Phantasm that should be treasures and symbolic to a hero is cast aside. Archer also fights dirty and he is bitter from his time of being a hero and holds no sense of value in being one. Shirou on the other hand is idealistic and therefore has the respect of Lancer who can appreciate that there are dreamers in the present who wants to be a hero

Both sacrified themselves for others and both were regretful of the dissapointing result. So by watching their conclusion she could find an answer to her own questions and doubts

Emiya hair and skin colour is due to his overuse of his abilities, Shirou will have a growth spurt so he will end up at Archer's height. Shirou made a pact with the world and became a guardian. The opening looks like a reference to Fate Extra, he saved people from a nuclear meltdown or something... in the end, he was blamed as the master mind of a war, his allies turned on him and people were scared of him and he was hung for his crime. As a heroic spirit and guardian, he exist outside the confines of time and has been cleaning up after humanity throughout history

The timeline Heroic Spirit EMIYA came from is a parallel timeline from UBW timeline. The spirits summoned by the Grail are just copies, original spirits reside in the Throne of Heroes permanently. After dying the copies return to the throne to merge. Then there are other versions of the same Heroic Spirit. Even if Shirou dies Archer won't get erased from the throne. Archer is just desperate.

Well the story of Lancer is that when he was in battle, he faced an incoming army alone and he was on the brink of death, so he tied his lance to his hand and propped himself on a rock until he died. The enemy army couldn't tell he was dead until they saw a bird pecking away at his body without him moving. It made it look like he could never die and would hold the line forever, even in death and the army never advanced until they found out he was dead. that's why lancer kept coming back, because he always seemed to come back from the dead (that is a surmised version and probably not entirely correct but it's essentially the story of lancer) thank you for coming to my TED talk :D

I've always seen the fight between Archer Emiya and Shirou as the struggle everyone goes through to fulfill their dreams. Archer is the logical person that you will eventually come across and tell you you can't fulfill your dream, that it's impossible for you, that it doesn't fit you, that that dream is pointless. Shirou tells us to screw the facts, if chasing that dream makes us happy, why stop there? Like Shirou says, there's something beautiful about helping others and being happy for it. As a psychology student I relate too much to this sentiment and if I can help people, then there is nothing wrong with that right? Man I love Shirou, he's such a complex character

The next episodes are epic Before you see the last episode I must say that there is a small episode that would be an alternative ending, it is called Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works 2nd Season - Sunny Day, it is a short episode of about 8 minutes, once you have seen the end of the anime you could see this too, remember that Fate is a video game with many different endings and three different routes

It’s these episodes that make me really hate the fact that the 2006 Fate/Stay Night (Fate route) sucks as bad as it does, and why I want ufotable to remake it so badly. That series goes a long way to explaining why Shiro became Archer. Archer isn’t Shiro from the UBW route, or any of the 3 F/SN routes. He’s from one of the multiverse timelines that’s close to the Fate timeline, almost a somewhat failed version of that Holy Grail War. In the Fate route Shiro almost immediately falls in love with Saber, and he spends nearly the entire story trying to get her to requit his feelings as well as reject the Holy Grail. In the Fate route that’s exactly what happens and they win the Holy Grail War, but in this other path Saber never falls for him nor rejects the Grail, but despite that (because failing these two conditions automatically led to a very bad end in the VN), they somehow still won the Holy Grail War. But it also changed Shiro in a way that led him to becoming Archer.

Please watch Heaven's feel trilogy, it's the third route of the original Fate, and pretty much the true ending after the events of Zero. Well, true ending might be exagerating, but it's the last part that wraps up every plotline, and the last missing link from Zero that started everything: the Zouken and Sakura roles there many years later. Kirei's true motivations behind everything. Plus the True Assassin and the only Servant who had yet to have the spotlight in the new Grail War: Rider (and her True Name)

Y'all stop making things up. Fate, Unlimited Blade Works and Heaven's Feel are all true endings. The 3 timelines are different timelines both, no route is less true than another. Also it's less Heaven's Feel picking up plotlines from Zero and more like Zero made backstory to those plotlines, because Zero was written after Heaven's Feel.

shirou is near arturia thas why he is healing, he's near to excalibur thats the requirement to activate the healing factor thats why everyone whants to be the master of arturia, if you pay attention shirou does not have a healing factor before arturia's appeared. because shirou has the excalibur scabbard he was able to summon saber (pardon my english), archer is op the reality marvel dont use mana beacause he made a deal whit gaia i think, dont remember , he can use unlimited blade works unlimited times
