Thanks for this, it brought back memories and prompted me to get out my old photos. Our family used to camp on the ocean side when I was a kid in the 1960's. Only Landrovers back then and a few chopped VW's, but very few people on the beach.

How far ahead did you have to book as every time I try looking on the site to book they always booked out

Yes we had to book a few months out. Though if you keep an eye on the qpws website often people cancel or change their bookings so sites can come up with short notice.

Reckon 3/4 of the sites would have been empty. Always booked out but no one there. (have seen it first hand). QPWS don't seem to care. As a ranger said, 'it costs them $300 a year to book every Saturday night out' to stop others going. Use the number plate recognition system to it's full potential. If you don't show, you can't book again. Cheers crispy for the video.

Never seen a 300 close up but on camera it looks like a big suv. I'd be scared that I might scratch it. Are they as tough and reliable as a 79 for example? Like, with all the electronics etc.

Love the old shots of Bogged in Bribie - Carl, shave the facial hairs mate then Susan can say she has a toy boy! Ya look like an 18year old!! How is that expedition going?? ARB really need to get upto date with their recovery points and soften the edges for soft shackles!
