That looks very good. I installed a system in a real New York club just like that. It was great, but the sound had too much high end reverberation. But I love the Spider-mancave.

This is very cool! Thinking about using it in my basement. What is the function of the bracketing system behind it? Why couldn't you just glue the bricks directly to the wall? Would it just tear the paper off the drywall? Too heavy?

I’m wondering this too

My guess is that you’re correct about the tearing of the drywall but also you don’t have to worry about checking for planeness for each row of bricks

I’m thinking this can be used for a brick ceiling. Secure the metal frame work to the ceiling in a pattern of so 4 corners come to a center point at a light fixture or ceiling fan. Most new glues stick on contact. This can be done! Now I need is to get the wife on board.

With all that metal on the walls doesn’t it impact Wifi or even 4G? Since this is a media room you’d have to have a 2nd router installed in this room so it could pick up a signal. I guess it would be ok if you used an 8mm film projector or a slide projector to project on a screen. Does anyone even know what 8mm film or slides are? LOLOL. The bricks look great but I’m wondering why the bricks can’t be adhered directly to sheetrock instead of building the metal substructure. That seems like one extra, unnecessary step. If I’m missing something please enlighten me. Thanks. The brick wall looks great btw!

At least, these ones don't use polypropylene - the Grenfell Tower ingredient - the fire enhancer. While I like the slat system, I do not like the fact that there is not much useful information regarding facts/data. What happens when it's exposed constant thermal transition between extreme hot and cold - such as the exterior in Florida and Alaska or even UK? What if they start peeling off when the metal starts heating up and cooling off like that on the roof of your car? There is not a brick stacking upon another one like in a traditional system. Everything, including the future of your home, which should last 150 years is reliant heavily on Locktite's strength. We need data, not just nice pictures. What do you think?

They do not address overlapping panels for exterior installation. If you have ever installed cultured stone over non-overlapped mesh and scratch coat - you get transfer cracking through the stone. Mesh must be overlapped on exterior installations. No mention of this for their system on exteriors. I would assume transfer cracking of thin brick would occur if panels were not overlapped on an exterior installation.
@thinbrickveneer-b5k25 күн бұрын
Thank you for your feedback. We want to assure you that our panels are designed with the most overlap available on the market. The interlocking male and female ends, corner adaptations, and panel staggering all work together to prevent cracking, even in exterior installations. With over 40 years of proven performance, our system ensures long-lasting durability. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

@@porkchop1343 -- I think that's a bad idea. Thin-brick installation panels are better than just direct application for a couple of reasons -- not least of which because they have the ledge-rows to keep the courses straight and to provide support for the thin-bricks. Also, for exterior use, you'd want to have an air-gap, and a moisture barrier, which would be much more complicated if you were going to just install the thin-brick like ceramic tiles.

You won't get what you see on their sample boards. Instead of a white wash, it looks like someone dumped paint all over them, with excessive dripping on the faces. I had to scrub each brick in water to make it look like their display board. Also, instead of buying 10% for waste, you should buy 20% to compensate for the brick piece that are bowed like a banana and you'll be sold an extra 10% on top of that from their crooked salesman (even though you handed them the exact dimensions of your project to calculate). You'll be sold an exorbitant amount of pointing mortar as well and they won't take ANY returns, not a thing, even though their website states no returns on brick. I'd steer clear of this business. Tried them out first with a fireplace before spending tens of thousands of dollars on the front of my house and I'm glad I did...
