I assume these strip sets are a group of 20. Some new people may not know that 2.5" strip sets are NOT jelly rolls unless they are made by Moda. just saying. I've made about 3 dz table runners from various tutorials of yours. easy peasy. Thanks

Hi - This was a great video, so clear and easy to follow. Using a jelly roll will save so much time! A while back on one of your videos I remember you saying if we have tutorial requests, you'd be open to considering them. I have a request! I am now at the age where my friends are becoming grandparents. I'd like to make gifts they could use with their grandchildren, other than a full-blown quilt. I'd like to learn how to make a functional, durable, parent/grandparent-friendly burpcloth. I am envisioning patchwork (maybe using your brick layer technique?) on one side and terry cloth/towel material on the other. I notice you became a grandparent recently (congratulations!!!) any other tutorials that a grandparent.new parent would appreciate that we could make would be great!

I'm such a beginner but I have a roll and I'm ready to start. My guesting is regarding the picked long edges. Do you measure the quarter inch seam from the edge of the little triangles or do i ignore them and measure from the bottom of them?

Hi Lisa. Measure from to the point in 1/4". Stay safe, and happy sewing.

In your instructions say to cut the backing fabric 16 1/2 inches wide. In the instructions printed below states 15 inches. Am I right that the 16 1/2 is the correct meaurement?

Do you use a walking foot when you stich in the ditch. Also do you start in the middle or the edge. Love your channel . Thanks

I use the walking foot on all my quilting projects. Years ago I started in the middle. But because of a bad back I had to start stitching from side to side. My back didn't hurt as much. Now I take all my medium to large quilts to a long arm quilter because my back hurts too much. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍

@@TheSewingRoomChannel Thank you. Unfortunately, the WalMarts here in San Diego County don't carry jelly rolls. Only fat quarters and 1 & 2 yard fabric pre-cuts. I'll go Walmart's website and see if I can order it. Thanks again, Cheryl. Keep making the great tutorials!!!

hello, I watched a video(not sure if it was yours). Anyway the lady had looked like 12" squares, she layered them then cut into 3 pies but they were cut like this / . then layer them then took first few layers and put them on the bottom, then started sewing together. After that she repeated that process a couple times. Do you know what I'm talking about and can you show that as a tutorial? Thank you

Hi Jo. Were the pieces cut the same size or different sizes? After the fabric was cut were the pieces mixed up so that each piece was stitched to a different fabric? This sounds like a variation on a crazy quilt. I am working on on a crazy quilt pattern that I hope to make into a video tutorial. Stay safe. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
