2:25 10% Portland cement is almost concrete level. Lime is more environmentally friendly and it cost less. Try a mixture of 7% Lime and 3% Portland cement to get similar results.

Density of  Brick, fire clay  = 2.4 g/cm³, Density of  Soil-Cement Bricks = 1.9 g/cm³

@@Atanjeo1 How do you get to 15Nm/mm²? The research paper you linked in one of the comment section it said that you can only get a compressive strength of around 2.3nm/mm² or sth. I don't know. Which puts it under regular clay fire bricks? Am I right in that understanding?

Big failure - poor bricks!! These CSEB Bricks need to cure under damp/wet conditions for at least 10 Days (better 21). The water causes the hardening of concrete through a process called hydration. Hydration is a chemical reaction in which the major compounds in cement form chemical bonds with water molecules and become hydrates or hydration products. Also important: There is no direct chemical reaction between adobe and concrete. So there need to be at least 20-30% sand in the soil. Mostly there is, but it has to be tested.

I agree, and instead of Portland cement they should use Lime or a combination of both. Lime is low cost and more carbon neutral. Most subsoil contains various amounts of silt and sand already. The spraying of these bricks with extra water may not be necessary in this tropical environment where the air is extremely humid or moist?

These guys wouldn't have continued jobs is this stuff didn't work well. They'll build you a house from that same soil and you'll live to an old age and die and that house will still be there 400 years later.
