@@gorgonzola86 It's interesting that you mentioned that Lego set. I used Bricklink Studio 2.0 to create a remake of that, using its original white with red trim color scheme. Kept the 4-engine, high-wing layout with the swing-open rear access. I took some liberty with the twin tail design, changing the twin-boom a standard fuselage, with two vertical stabs on a wide, horizontal tail.

0:38 Actually that is not entirely true. Medical airplanes do exist. They are mostly used to transport passengers from remote areas to properly equipped hospitals fast or to take travelers who got into an accident abroad home. Those planes don't always need a proper runways either, there are plenty of airplanes which can land on relatively short runways/on grass strips. I mean to be fair, those plans won't be able to land directly at the site of the emergency but helicopters can't do that always either 6:00 That is not true either. There are plenty of turboprop aircraft still in active service to this day like the lockheed martin c-130

0:42 sorry I have to point this out but you’re wrong. I work in aviation and know friends who work for the royal flying doctor. The point of an fixed winged aircraft instead of a rotor wing aircraft is to go longer distances. Usually the casualty is out in a rural area. Helicopters are used in floods or areas with low accessibility and short distance. But yeah the design for this aircraft is unusual especially seeing the air ambulances themselves.

In my opinion, I hate the plane for 2020. This is because of the fact that there is only six seats inside. Another reason is since they focused too much on the minifigs and plane, the terminal is too simplistic. This is probably because lego has becoming really overpriced in the last couple of years. The named characters in the set are distracting from the fact of the low seat count. Just look at the amount of windows, then look at product images of the inside of the plane and you'll agree. The cargo space and vehicle also distract from the fact that that there are only six seats. The small terminal, named characters from Lego City Adventures, and only SIX freaking seats just goes to show how far Lego has come in the last couple of decades in the City airplane line, right?

You forgot the other coast guard sea plane, it was more traditional than the one in this video and my only criticism of it is that it has no room outside of the cockpit, however you can take the guts out of the centre where the wings are and replace them will smaller pieces and it opens up the back of the plane with heaps of space, while still remaining structurally sound.

The 3182 was my first large LEGO set and I had so much fun playing with it. 60104 was my brother's first large set and it was cool having two passenger planes and playing together.

8:55 I love this thing! It’s by far for me the best one they ever made. Sadly I always wanted to have it as a little kid and now well it‘s pretty expensive..

I had the #1 as a kid, got it as a Christmas gift, probably wouldn’t be where I am today finishing my airline pilot’s license if it was not for that plane, who knows… defenetly helped with the spark

Both the fire planes have the ability to drop water (in the form of studs). Though the only difference is one drops 1x1x1 round studs and the other drops 1x1x2 round studs.

There are medical aircrafts/jets that transport patients and they are pretty common for long flights from one medical center to other specialized medical centers or taking patients from one country to another. Medical helicopters also known as medevacs are for transporting critical care/trauma patients typically from an accident site to a trauma center, or sometimes used for donated organ transport for its speed to reach a patient in a hospital that needs it.

I miss the very first Lego City passenger aircraft which was a white one. 4 wide.In fact I recall 2 boxes: 1 with only plane, the other one included an airport. Best feature about these very first plains and helicopters was that the nose and fuselage was made of smaller bricks, doing more justice to the modular quality oflego as a creative builders set and allowing for much more versatility to build variations or completely different things with them.
