dude, i'm watching this Jan 19, 2022 from upstate NY where we're in full-on winter. the throaty rumble of that beast ripping up and down the parking lot was exactly what i needed to get me through the snow season... outstanding sound!

Well I'm glad its making it feel a bit less winter like!

Word of warning to future watchers, maybe remove the petcock screen filter (not talking about the petcock itself). Mine got gunked up by KBS when I did my tank because I forgot to remove it. It's a salvageable situation and you can remove it post tank seal but would be way easier before. Peace

I was hoping you would smash it! Hahaha! Good to know I’m not the only not functioning how it should tool smasher.

Hi, for dry completly the tank you can use etilic alcool ...it ties the water and fly away most easily .

I'm enjoying you videos. As a suggestion, you might want to try one of those borescope cameras available on Amazon or eBay. They are very inexpensive and might work well in this application.
@BrickHouseBuilds4 жыл бұрын
Yea I definitely need to invest in a borescope camera. I'd use it often but I'm just always buying random stuff I keep forgetting. Good reminder though!

Great job like always.. rip flashlight though What is the stop that fits on the fuel outlet?
@BrickHouseBuilds4 жыл бұрын
😅😅 again, not proud of myself but I kept mentioning the flashlights so I kept it in there. The plug cap was just a brass unit you can find at an auto parts store. This one is 16mm
@notyourbrotherinlaw20923 жыл бұрын
thanks for the info - what do you do for the underside of the top of the tank? appreciate the help.
@BrickHouseBuilds3 жыл бұрын
You just roll the tank around so it covers that as well
@Badenhawk3 жыл бұрын
I also have the deluxe tank that is in decent condition except for some pinholes. Do you have any exp with POR 15 tank sealer? That's what I was looking at getting....after my welder friend finishes with more pinholes that popped up for a second time.
@BrickHouseBuilds3 жыл бұрын
That I do. I believe I'll be using that from now on as this sealer did not adhere likely due to that skipped step

Good informative video, I have used the Kreem kit and the Yamaha prep kit w/o a liner and have had pretty good luck with them. But I think I will have to try this kit on my next tank. I like the liner viscosity better on this KBS kit. BJ I do have a silly question about your shop heater it is electric I believe is it 120v or 220v and any idea how many watts or btu’s it might have. And how does it do heating with our mid west winters.
@BrickHouseBuilds4 жыл бұрын
My heater came from Northern Tool. 220v and works well. It keeps my shop toasty but I did have to insulate the place really well. Just did the garage door finally. m.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200578579_200578579?cm_mmc=Google-LIA&Google_LIA&Heaters%20%26%20Stoves%20%2B%20Fireplaces%20%3E%20Electric%20Heaters&ProFusion%20Heat&gclid=CjwKCAiAgc-ABhA7EiwAjev-j4fFjyVa70lQjqXX06qlDBMaAxC68rvyJNgfWR2UMRWHfrM5fwVcNhoC1SIQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

I would recommend coast or streamlight flash lights. I use streamlights USB penlight daily and my girlfriend uses coast flashlight and spot light Daily both us being mechanics

After this I picked up a couple more pen lights that seem to be lasting well actually but thanks for the recommendation

So my bike as been sitting for two year and it gather so much rust. I use vinegar and let it sit for 24 hour and clean it out. It gotten pretty clean but now my old tank sealer is flaking off. I hope the klean will take the rest off
@BrickHouseBuilds Жыл бұрын
You will need to get more aggressive than the Klean. Acetone and some screws or something would be where I start but you need to figure out what the old liner is and read up on what may work best to remove it.
@Inkesomnia Жыл бұрын
@@BrickHouseBuilds oh yea. I’ve been looking in it and decided I will rip a piece of the old sealer off . And put it in acetone and if if it dissolve, I’ll drop some in there and do that screw trick. And I also have a kbs stripper from them too. Thanks man.

The instructions say not to use compressed air

Correct. Some compressors can expel a lot of moisture which is obviously not desirable
