How would you do a rake like this on a curved/circular wall? Would you still use string lines?

Hi Justin Lovelly bit of brickwork that mate 👌 the art pall as you know is the cuts ? Love to see a bit of passion in their work pal and the pride as well oases out of your work 💪 me cos I'm lazy have got 2 piece,s of ply 9.5mm so just put em under the brick and in me perp then mark and cut ? Just saves me taking me muck on and off ! Love rake quality stuff mate 1💖💖👍 let's hope it stays dry , have a good week mate

Thanks John Hope your well mate weather is crap isnt it.yes ive also used the wood packers and to be honesr what i find is your gauge has to be spot on if youve bumped on or ground down foe any reason its a bit awkward. So as long as gauge is 💯 its a great way to do it im a bit stuck in my ways .Good point as usual John good luck next week mate Justin 👍

The rigth way is 2 cuts a easy way is draw to scale your cuts for 3 slopes of 30,45,60 degree angle slopes and most angles on site fall in thes 3 ranges and u will get two perfect cuts at your angles give it a go take you no time to draw to scale your angles and have your templates,try it and see if u get a better result😁
@brickrightbuildinglandscaping3 жыл бұрын
@@IanIan-cj7dj yes ian two cuts is right and a template scaled would be perfect so spot on there mate thanks for the post Justin 👍🧱
@IanIan-cj7dj3 жыл бұрын
Theres many ways to get a job done ,i just find make a template and write it down the size of the cuts and keep to them angles 30,45,60 , but everyone goes on about how to lay bricks for garden walls and at the end of the day a garden wall or feature is just that a point of reference for a boundrie 🤣🤣🤣🤣, or a feature for plants so i give your wall a 👍 ,
@ryanscarrmusic23292 жыл бұрын
why is there a brick and a half space on the third course before you add the cuts ?
@brickrightbuildinglandscaping2 жыл бұрын
Hi Ryan Was because i had to take a tiny bit off the the hole brick and do a cut on the the end so the two bricks needed cutting mate 👍

The rowlock or brick on edge lines up flush mate i can assure you 👍🙂
@scottib50523 жыл бұрын
Hi mate instead of spreading muck twice for your cut why don’t you put a 10mm packer on the bed joint then mark it up cut it lay it , I find it a lot easier and quicker
@brickrightbuildinglandscaping3 жыл бұрын
Hi scott Few others have said this and its a great idea i just prefer to do it that way although it does take longer .thanks for you input great idea . Justin 👍
@joshuaemmerson78783 жыл бұрын
Just put a double perp on mark brick then lay it 👍
@joshuaemmerson78783 жыл бұрын
Double perp joint acts as bed also perp much faster then laying marking relaying only time I Would lay and then cut would be bulls eye or convex ramp
