Kids nowadays want to be in charge instead of learning from the ground up. What a master bricklayer does takes years of training and doing. What a planner/estimator, designer, and coordinator, plus a customer service person, is beyond most people's ability. I left out the myriad of additional tasks. It leaves little time for a life. @counseloridealist I fully agree it all takes a lot of time to even try and master each individual task and I thank you for recognising that .The job lots of us do doesn't gain much respect people stereotype it . 35 years in ive a lot to still learn when I'm retired I still wouldn't of learned it all . First of all, I really appreciate the series and your explanations, so thanks! My question is: assuming I don't care about how the weep holes look if I use more than one as you suggested could be an alternative, can I then just not bother about the tube behind the wall? Would I still back fill with the rocks like you did?

Coming back to this as I’m close to the drainage stage (finally) and I’m wondering how those land drains are connected to that weephole. Are they simply left without end caps so the water freely runs in that area so it eventually comes out of that weephole? I saw a bit of plastic in that weephole so I’m wondering if that’s a special weephole contraption or just a bit of something for another purpose shoved in there?

No special fixing or connector Marcus.The plastic piece set in the wall is just a bit of square guttering. I left the open end of the land drain up against the bit of gutter so any water can flow out mate . Hope that helps you 👍

@@MarcusT86 5 mm is standard for porcelain 10mm for Indian Sandstone marcus 👍🙌
