In this LEGO city update I create the skeleton structure for the next section of mountains! To do that I had to cut some more wood for raised platforms that will host the car tunnels and MILS plate over 25 more baseplates. The skeleton structure are not done yet... but in order to continue I have to add more wood structures and MILS plates.. Then once all that is taken care of I can start developing the mountains!

I'd work on the two train tunnels as well as the road tunnels. It will be easier to adapt your plates and slopes for the mountains around the tunnel entrances that to try and retrofit them after the fact. That with the wood work and mils plates should give you a framework for building the mountains

My suggestion on building all of those platforms, hills, mountains etc.. is either start in the middle and work out, or start at the edge and work in. Might be easier and will have a better idea on placement and different height elevation.

I like where this is going with the elevation starting to come together. The tunnel entrances have a lot of potential to be really unique features. Go up one Block more (2 BLOCKS Tall) for the next half of Country side THEN on the back 48x48 go up to (3 BLOCKS Tall - for Far Back Country Side) THEN add you Mid height Platform (Half height of Winter Village). You can save the back corner near wall and Village for (Ski Slopes to go down to (3Block height) of the Far back Country side. Keep up the wonderful work / play. Let me know what you think. 😎

I would get rid of all the wood structure's and build the mountains out of technic brick. You would beable to create better elevation with technic brick because there are so many different sizes to choose from. This way everything on top of the tables is only lego. And maybe build a giant mountain in the middle with the winter village on the top. And trains coming out of the mountain below going in different directions. Servicing different parts of the city.

Try using forced perspective in your model. That is making things that are supposed to be in the distance at a slightly smaller scale so that they appear to be further away than they actually are. Video games do this all the time. For example, making a skyscraper in the back of the city that is smaller in scale will fool the eye into thinking it is larger and further away than it actually is. Have to be careful to keep it from looking strange
