Seatron Monorail - The LEGO Theme that could have been

Starwalker here !! It’s really awesome hearing all the kind words you had to say about the seatron figures!! These guys were an absolute labor of love to work on I spent probably half of last year just fine tuning the minifigure models and finding as many reference images as I possibly could so I’m glad you and everyone else are enjoying them!!! I definitely want to bring other cancelled prototypes to life in the future. Currently have my sights set on the classic dragon style sea serpent figure that never got released, it’ll just be difficult since there’s only one known image of that guy and it’s pretty low res pfft. Might also try making some of the other parts from seatron down the line I just really need a break from working on that theme for the moment haha. Thanks again for sharing :0

Love this haul. Your Atlanta Brick Con video was awesome and this whole design and approach by Daniel was amazing. Gotta love the dedication of Lego fans on themes that were only referenced but not produced.

I love this level of fandom. Great work Daniel and team. I need one of those figures! Green is the right choice. I’m surprised we never saw this fig reimagined in a CMF line. That last space CMF would have been a perfect opportunity.

There is an alternate earth in the multiverse where Lego 9volt trains did not cost an absolute fortune like here, they were more reasonably priced and so were a massive success where everyone and their brother have a huge 9volt layout and they release 20 new 9volt trains every year and 9volt reigns supreme and there is peace on earth 616 and goodwill to all men. Unfortunately I do not live on this earth, I am stuck on this crappy earth 1999 where you had to rob 3 banks and a post office to put a down payment on a 9volt set. A not very big train set that cost well over 100 smackers back when an expensive Lego set was 60. I remember looking and having the money but could not bring myself to buy one set instead of three pretty big sets. The issue was that you got not much track, you really needed 3 sets before you had enough track to make an entertaining train set, not much fun it just going round a very small circle. So in reality you were looking at 300-500 before your train set was actual fun, and back then people bought pretty good 2nd hand cars for 400, so spending car money on a small Lego train set was a tough call, you had to be real committed to that Lego train plan...or be loaded.

I also prefer print edition instructions, so many MOCs that I want to build probably will need to be reverse engineered and I know a lot of people get all huffy about that. So why am I even telling anybody? I barely get around to building anything anyway.😂😂💥💰🐬👍🌳🐿️

Idk how to feel about the figs. The owners of the few existing real prototypes are pissed off about this, which is normal when they duplicate your 1 of x collectors item. I know for everyone it is impossible to obtain a real one, and this is the next best thing, but no matter how you twist and turn it it's fake and a stolen idea. I read a comment here about terratron or something, see that's cool and original. Let things like this keep their magic in stead of trying to profit off of it. You making this video makes sure also next times (if there will be next batches) will be sold out and prices will be driven up, people will resell for high prices afterwards etc etc.
