On the windshield pieces you mentioned needing it to one brick wide all the way around. On the standard size, the bottom has this straight vertical section where it attaches to the studs. You could mimic that by using 1x bricks across the front of the slope instead of bringing the slope all the way to the bottom.

There is a 0.2mm gap between Lego pieces. Maybe that being multiplied to the sixth power is causing your issues with alignment? Maybe you could try a UCS build using Duplo bricks instead of Lego? Fewer pieces would have less gap.
@BrickTsar16 күн бұрын
That’s interesting and likely a good reason. If I removed the times on the edge of the 1x1 plate it would probably connect

The slope problem is tough, on the actual part there's a 1/2 plate thick layer at the bottom, leaving room for a stud to fit, but on the big version, the extra height added by that little layer adds up to exactly 1 brick, the height it would be when scaled up, meaning you'd have to add another brick to the bottom of the slopes, making it out of scale. Unless you're gonna use hinged bricks, taking off part of the big studs is probably the best way to do it.

At the time of building it I didn’t have enough bricks and the panels were more available. I could probably rebuilt it. I’ve actually wanted to built it with panels for the slope part but Lego does not make the clear hinges I would need

@BrickTsar16 күн бұрын
Thanks though the entire point of this is to make larger bricks and build it the same way. It’s not just to make the finished model look upscaled. It’s to make all of the original pieces up scaled. Definitely could build a more stable version if you aren’t considering the individual pieces as separate. But that’s not my purpose in this.
