I would say it is MORE than unstoppable, it is a fact! However is is not necessarily for the better as the science of international relations and historical analysis clearly shows that multipolarity increases the likelihood of conflict, complicates global governance, introduces unpredictability, and heightens economic competition with higher chances of economic instability and trade wars, as well as real wars. Examples of wartime multipolarity include World War I, World War II, the Thirty Years War to name but a few! Quite a record I would say. I get BRICS in todays world. But what the world really should focus on is a true commitment to truly international/global cooperation and peace that actually functions without mechanisms only defating itself and its (!)global(!) commitment; like the UN, just that is is NOT able to be compromised and dominated by a few very powerfull countries. Had I known how to get there, I might have been a contender for the nobel peace price ;-) However, I as most others, do not know how we get there as the strongest powers in the world stands in the way, so I can only observe the world running towards higher grades of mulipolarity and thus even more competition, wars and conflicts in the horizon.

South Africa got thrown in later to include an economy in Africa. It has now morphed into the Global South (even though the largest part of its populations live in the Northern Hemisphere). The perception of it has once again morphed into an opposition to G7 countries, and definitely not the US, Canada, EU and Australia. Outside of that I think there are only developing economies left and we will easily be able to address your concern
