If the US Dollar stops being the reserve currency and the US Fed does not have to keep swaplines with other central banks to keep their currencies afloat (i.e. subsidise their economies), it's not the US economy that will fail it's everyone else. This is why China doesn't want the renminbi to replace the dollar, they can't afford it...

"BRICS Currency" is currently not under consideration. But "BRICS Bridge" international payment / trade settlement system with national CBDC and "BRICS Pay" as the interface are currently in making but they will need some more time to be operational. BRICS will never kill UDS but will let it go for a natural death. BRICS technology is going to make the concept of maintaining any foreign currency as forex reserve obsolete.
