U.k thought India wont exist long as nation, look at today, it still made it , and even the fastest growing nation in the world today. So when western thinker says it wont be significant, it means it will be significant. Just because its complex for them they assume that will be complex for other nation too, they dont know that other nation has better skill of problem solving than west now.

We're talking about BRICS here, not just 1 member of BRICS. Is India going to accept the Yuan as their trade currency? How about the Ruble.(everybody started laughing, nobody wants rubles)? Or is India going to convince other members to use rupees? The answer is no to all of the questions. No currency means no challenging the dominance of the dollar. BRICS is not like Europe with a close group of cultural similar countries. BRICS was invented by a Goldman Sachs economist to quickly refer to a bunch of countries with possibilities, he never meant it as a serious trade bloc.

If BRICS nations decided to create a closed economic system, relying primarily on trade within their bloc and using their own currencies, it could severely weaken the West. They have the resources, the manufacturing capacity, and a growing consumer market. They wouldn't need to rely on Western markets or the US dollar. Sanctions would become largely irrelevant, and their influence would grow exponentially.

While it's true China has become a manufacturing powerhouse, they lack many critical resources. That's what makes the BRICS alliance so potentially dangerous. China has the factories, and countries like Russia and Brazil have the raw materials. Together, they can create a self-sufficient economic bloc that doesn't need the West, and that gives them enormous leverage on the world stage. It's not just about "yay, China makes stuff." It's about a fundamental shift in global power dynamics, where nations that don't necessarily share our values or respect human rights could end up dictating the terms of trade and international relations. We need to be very aware of this and take steps to strengthen our own position before it's too late.

That's true, trade is essential for any country's economic health. But the reality is, BRICS nations are increasingly capable of trading amongst themselves and with other developing nations. They have the resources, the manufacturing capacity, and a growing consumer market. While complete isolation isn't ideal for anyone, they're in a much stronger position to weather a decoupling from the West than we are. That's something we need to consider seriously.

Nothing will happen to USD..why EU is using EUR instead of USD
@nv7287
@nv7287 Сағат бұрын
It's a false equivalence to compare the euro to the rise of BRICS currencies. The euro was about economic integration within a bloc that already shared similar values on human rights and democracy, values enshrined in the Bretton Woods system that underpinned the post-war economic order. BRICS nations are a different story. They have a documented history of human rights abuses, suppression of free speech, and disregard for worker and environmental protections. Their rise to economic dominance could erode those values on a global scale. Think of. advanced technologies used for surveillance lack of freedom of speech, workers with no rights the inability for citizens to fight for an environment that's worth living in We're all suppression is monitored by AI and other systems. It's not just about different currencies; it's about a fundamental shift in global power towards authoritarianism, potentially dismantling a system designed to uphold human rights and democratic ideals.

Don't forget, the dollar represents the Bretton Woods system, designed to uphold democracy and human rights (though we can argue how effective it's been). BRICS nations reject those values entirely. Their rise means a less free, less just world, especially for those living under their rule. Think: advanced technology used for surveillance and oppression. And unlike the West, there's no pretense of upholding human rights. That's the real cost of shifting global power.

@nv7287
@nv7287 Сағат бұрын
I think it's very realistic. BRICS nations are sitting on a wealth of resources the world needs, and they're not afraid to use that leverage. They can dictate currency terms and reshape global markets, while we're busy arguing about things that ultimately distract and divide us. It's like we're fiddling while Rome burns. Instead of building a strong, united nation, we're caught up in pointless identity politics and debates that weaken our social fabric and make us vulnerable. Meanwhile, the BRICS nations are forging alliances, strengthening their economies, and positioning themselves to lead the future. And the worst part? BRICS nations aren't exactly known for championing human rights. We used to have some leverage to push them on that front, but as they gain power and independence from the US dollar, that influence disappears. It's a dark day when those who disregard basic human rights and exploit their people are poised to become the dominant global players. We're losing our position in the world, and with that, our ability to advocate for a more just world. We're being weakened from within, and powerful nations with very different values are ready to step into the void. Think of advanced technologies used for surveillance, a lack of freedom of speech, workers with no rights, and the inability for citizens to fight for a livable environment. Suppression is the norm, and it's often monitored by AI and other systems. It's not just about different currencies; it's about a fundamental shift in global power towards authoritarianism, potentially dismantling a system designed to uphold human rights and democratic ideals.

No they can’t and won’t. The main issue is all these countries are relatively unstable. I mean China has been a thing since 1950, Russia since the 1990’s, India 1950’s You need a long history for a currency of stability. Let me put it to you simply. Would you put your retirement funds in US dollars or Chinese Yuan if given the option? Even the Chinese desperately look to hedge their bets on their currency by investing in their real estate and that has backfired with their housing crash where people and families loose everything. People aren’t going to choose the Brics currency willingly. However, Bitcoin might give the dollar a run for its influence eventually.

The countries that are sanctioned have broken the rules of world trade and or invaded their neighbors. Also what if brics is formed for sake of argument. Who gets to control the central currency and which country will it be backed by? Plz don’t say China because they have the most corrupt banking system in the world. Now if countries start using crypto that’s different and could happen but it would still be linked to a specific currency like dollar or Euro. Those are still the most trusted currencies. You have to build trust and reliability if you want a worldly currency and the leaders of Brics are the absolute opposite of that.
@michaeltoney2277
@michaeltoney2277 37 минут бұрын
@@deshrajdabhade7537 historically speaking that has not been the case. Foreign investment is huge in the US. China for example owns vast amounts of US farmland and that land is gaining value. Putin was terrible for Russia in a lot of ways if that is what you’re talking about he triggered all that trauma from the Second World War invading Ukraine and now the Russians are paying the price just like the Germans did. You might think if it this way. There is a saying in sales, never piss off your customers and that is what Russia did they bit the hand that literally was paying its bills and with a nice profit and now they are doomed to struggle. China won’t help them. India won’t help them.

The USD is the world's reserve currency. The USA has a $$$40 trillion debt with a 10% interest rate. Most Americans are in debt plus high interest rate, so in reality they own nothing but credit debt and interest payments. USA/Israel endless proxy wars will affect the USA economy. The Federal reserve keeps the USD liquidity for high interest loans by Usery. The world needs an alternative to the weaponized currency, not just the payment systems. Currency can be confiscated and sanctioned by USA/Israel bad for global economy if used for collective punishment and collateral damages.
