for incorporating amsterdam into the show, they could just add any arbitrary complication into the scenario. like take a vacation there with part of the cast and edit the show on the vacation. or add in a semifictional element, where brooklyn runs out of weed, so they have to restock their supply. or the college brings legal action to the point where smoking weed in the US will spell their doom, but they become creatively handicapped without weed, so out of creative necessity they go to amsterdam. idk
