It took me a while to find the perfect dress but I’m so glad I haven’t had to change my shape to feel comfortable in it. I’ve found the dress that fits me and I’ve not made myself fit the dress. Fat people, fat women especially, are being very much sold the idea that all your problems will go away if you just lose weight. It's worth remembering that someone is profiting off it, whether through diet pills or having to buy less fabric. There's not a magical weight or size where you'll love and be happy when you get there, you'll be happy when you are love yourself regardless of how your body changes or what it looks like.

Aurora Häkli Confidence is everything, and nobody should feel insecure about their shape or who they are. I love self acceptance as long as it’s not to the detriment of self-improvement. You can look and should feel beautiful no matter the weight, just know that in the long term, excess weight causes problems, if not now, but in a decade or two. At the end it’s one’s choice and the more power to them. It’s not about being judged, but about living a fulfilled life.

Its hard to look at yourself after weight loss, because you see parts that needs "work" even more. I was a size 16(Canada) and I am now size 6, and in front of the mirror, many times, I still see size 16. Wishing for a more toned tummy and getting rid of the thick thighs. it wasnt that she felt unhappy about her body in the second dress, it was that she felt pressured to like it and didnt know how to express it. she looked beautiful but she didnt feel confident and comfy and herself in that dress and she shouldnt have to compromise for the consultants. she made a confident choice of not choosing it and that was awesome.

I think she saw it, she even said she liked how it sucked her in. Some brides just don't like the restrictiveness of a fitted gown regardless of how they look. You have to be comfortable too! I love how that dress looks, but I wouldn't wear it on my day because its physically too tight around the thighs to be able to walk and move how I want to.

Why is this saleslady telling the bride, "You're finding fault with every dress"? She made the bride feel overwhelmed and cry when the bride was right-she didn't look good in that dress and the mermaid dress was uncomfortable for her. The saleslady should be listening to what the bride is saying and support her. Instead of trying to push through a quick sale, perhaps she should go work in a supermarket where she can spend her days ringing through items on a cash register instead of making brides cry. She needed to get a flattering haircut first before she goes shopping. Her thin hair and the round face - and the glasses do not help - big distraction. I think she wears a little eye liner and mascara and has nice dark eyes, but the glasses overpower it. If your face looks pretty it adds to the impression.
