Uh, how can you forget that you're vegetarian & can't have dairy when choosing the menu? I can see forgetting that for family members, but yourself??? I mean, when discussing the entree & it has meat or poultry, you'd think she'd say "I don't eat meat" or at least her SO would say that. If it can't be changed, it's all on her, as far as I'm concerned.

The "I expected something... more" got to me. Like what did you expect? YOU chose the menu. YOU have approved everything to this point and YOU *suddenly* remembered you were Vegetarian Lactose free? And the two sisters also had complicated eating plans? No, hun. We're bending over backwards to make complicated changes the day before the event and you're disappointed it isn't more, somehow? How about you pay for the extra work you just pushed off on us, as well as the extra foods we need to prepare to meet your sudden remembering. *Then* you can be free to be as judgemental as you want.

Really don’t get how she could forget about her allergy/ intolerance to dairy when planning the menu. Husband and I planned the menu based on what he and I could and would eat first and if the guests didn’t like it, there were places they could go on the way home

@@sevenember3332 YES! We had a small ceremony and celebrated at a local restaurant who tookk care of everything aside from the cake. Everyone could order what they wanted from a shorter version of the menu. It was lovely and I didn;t have to mess with that "dietary restrictions" mess. Plus, having margaritas was fun.

A wedding does not need to include a sit down full course meal. My parents had a simple afternoon tea in their church hall. But their 50th anniversary was celebrated with family. And we all appreciated and enjoyed the dinner on this very special occasion.

It almost seems that contracts need to have addendum‘s where any changes of a certain time are going to be whatever percentage exorbitantly marked up. If you don’t request a dietary more than a week out, you have to pay several hundred dollars. You’re gonna have to bring something from homebecause I’m not good at planning. They won’t be happy, but that is not the venue’s problem.😅

The weddings I am used to often have family travelling long distances. It would be rude to not feed them.

@@SenshiSunPower i think they mean to have more of a buffet type thing so everyone can just pick and choose what they want instead of making plates for everyone. They’d still get fed

@@echoworks4836 Yep. And you can offer more choices. Not necessarily as fancy as plated meals, but you get more bang for your buck.
