"she definitely doesn't care if she hurts my feelings" Poor thing 💔 the way she laughed when she said that I recognize that coping humor anywhere These abusive narcissistic mothers in this show are always framed and treated like "oh teehee that's just my good ol' southern Mama being stubborn as a mule" No. They're abusive and it's genuinely sad watching how much some of these women just want their mother's support/approval I remember when I was bending over backwards, doing anything and everything I could to earn my parents approval I just wanted them to be proud of me I just wanted them to love me Speaking from experience They don't change unless they want to Nothing you do is ever enough for them But that doesn't mean you aren't enough Because you are Sorry for the random "lecture" on a yes to the dress video But it's honestly insane seeing how many mom's on here are just outright abusive and it's completely normalized

Finally be the time my mom realizes how perfect I am and how much she loves and wants me!! NOT!!! It’s never going to happen, so although it hurts, you really have to realize you cannot please a narcissistic person! EVER! Learn all you can about this mental illness, so you will learn that this is not your fault!! Never was!! You will learn a new way to live with this person in your life. It’s tough, but possible for some, but sometimes it is just a no go.

@@suzettekath9860 of course there are worse ways of proposing, I didn't say it was "the worst." I just thought it was not very classy. I mean, think about "hold my beer" situations. Usually, the person left with the beer is a bystander being told to be a coaster and witness this s#!t. It is all about HIM. "Pssht! I can do better than that." The person holding the beer has nothing to do with what comes after "hold my beer." I don’t think short dresses are for a formal wedding, even if it’s in a barn. She did look like she was headed to the prom not her wedding. A dress like that makes me think of very small private wedding or going to the courthouse. If they wanted a short dress, why not a tea length dress. All the dresses she tried on were beautiful, but the last one and the one she picked, was the best for her. The lace was perfect nod to her country roots and the neckline and bling were a perfect representation of her gorgeous personality.
