Fact of the matter is, she should wear what she’s dreamed about because it’s what’s right. We all know it’s what’s right. People will choose to idolize others based on their own views and ideas. We all want to do what we want, and by being true to herself she’s won, even if the whole world turned against her. I like to think that in the end it’s people who stick to their guns who end up being great and admirable.

That's what I would do. Start with the worst case scenario for the mum, the one she'll absolutely HATE; that way you can bring it back to the original sweetheart the bride wanted, and the mum will go "Huh, that's not so bad".

Some moms didn't get to pick their own wedding dress. Their mom did it for them. And in such families, it goes back generations. My mom's side is one of them. Grandma picked my mom's dress for her. And when I bought mine, she tried doing it to me. I stuck to my guns on that bit. I was NOT going to wear something she picked out. She wanted me to return the dress I had found. So I would end up wearing what she thought I should have worn instead.

Yes! I'm short and adding personal touches with belts was huge when I got married. During the appointment, I was shooing away the consultants and my parents from wanting to try belts on that would break up the visual column the dress was supposed to create. Glad I stuck with no belt. :)

I love this bride. She’s intelligent, thoughtful and beautiful. I love how she was so appreciative of her parents paying for her dress but that she also is a mature enough woman who can make her own decisions without being rude. She also was so cute when she talked about how she always had a crush on her fiancé but was a nerd and how she can’t wait for him to see her in her dress-I feel like she differs from a lot of the brides who think only about themselves and really want a wedding more than a marriage.

She ended up wearing this dress without the belt with a sheer bolero to help cover her shoulders a little bit during the ceremony and reception (I’m assuming to keep her mom happy) and took it off for photos. She looked stunning. The big flowers on the bottom of her dress looked like it really fit in at her beachside venue. This is episode was filmed quite a while ago, though. She has since had 2 children and looks very happy.

i don't understand the fact that when people have a low budget they give them a dress that drop dead stunning but when they're have a high budget the dress doesnt live up to the price

I agree. I didn't like the second dress at all. It was horrible. But everyone has different tastes. I'm in love with my wedding dress that I'll be wearing next weekend and others may find they don't like it at all.

Even in our very conservative Apostolic Pentecostal church girls can wear similar,but not quite so low necks but with a bolero over it. That being said, most brides do opt for more coverage.

I don't think it's usually about the veil. The veil just gives them an opportunity to say they've changed their mind after it's obvious the bride is really distraught that they don't like it.

I can't get over how phenomenal she looked in the first dress. Not many people can carry that outfit but with that figure of hers, she looked likes she could model it on the runway. It was classy as hell like she is an heir to a fortune. And even if someone wanted to copy it, it wouldn't suit them...that unique!!!
