I'm absolutely *not* suggesting this situation is what commonly happens but, I used to work with a girl who was born in the UK of a family originally from Pakistan. Her father arranged a marriage for her with a guy back in Pakistan and shipped her off to meet him for the first time at the wedding. On arrival she became ill and died before the wedding. I’m all for long distance relationships, but not met even once? When I met my boyfriend online, I fell for him. We were friends for about a year before I told him I loved him, and before we made it official I planned a surprise trip to stay with him for a month. Because 1, I wanted to make sure he was the same person I fell for in person. And 2, to see how he handled unexpected situations. We had already planned to do this months and months in advance, but I wanted to make it a surprise. he had never been in a ldr and I have been so I already knew it was gonna be hard on him to wait, I planned everything to a T and all his friends and family were in on it and supported the idea and helped plan it. And no lol I’m not tryna work in recruitment, the “unexpected situations” was to see if he was actually excited to see me cause I had a bad previous relationship so yeah. Regardless, it all went amazing and we’re soon to be moving in together so it wasn’t an act of disrespect whatsoever

I am highly skeptical that she had not ordered this dress long before this episode was filmed. We are to believe she walked in 8 days before a wedding and they just happened to have a spectacular gown, never tried on by anyone else tucked away where no one else could see it and it fit her like a glove? It looked expensive and already ordered in her size and altered to fit. It was more like a bride picking up her gown before the wedding. It was gorgeous.

The dress she chose is STUNNING, but she could've done so much better in the hair and makeup department. Also, I don't think these people believe the marriage will last and succeed (some people live together for years yet their marriages still fall apart), it seems to me that some people just love the thrill and attention regardless of the outcome, she had a crazy proposal, she thought man that's unique I will go forward and see where it goes". Even if the wedding fell apart in a week, I doubt she will be devastated and seriously heartbroken, she had a moment of thrill and dreamlike happiness then she will wake up, and life will go on again.

Anyway you gotta be super careful about people you meet online, most only put one part of themselves out there so it can be very misleading. You aren't getting to know the whole person.
