But she could, perhaps, honor her sister by naming her firstborn child for her. If she only has a boy, maybe use the masculine version of her sister's first or middle name, or if her sister had a favorite color -- let's say, red -- put *Red* in parentheses as a middle name.

I know how she feels. I lost my sister and she was not here for my wedding. I still miss her like crazy. She was my only sibling and now I am my moms only child. It is definitely hard to get through some days cause I wanna talk to my sister and she’s not here. Yeah we had our fights but we still loved each other. There was a lot of resentment from my sister cause she was 13 when I was born. She was no longer the only child and she had to babysit me. There were a few times she even tried to kill me. When I got older we became closer. Things happen for a reason and tho we don’t know why we still have to be strong and push through. When you stop looking, itll happen. So I was married to my first love. Who ended up being very abusive. I ended up actually meeting my soulmate after I had my son once at the store he was working at, and then again about a year and a half later through a friend. I was still married. Ended up divorcing and one day he hit me up. I hated him at first lol but literally within 2 weeks we were moving in together, and then pregnant with our twins very soon after. Yea we moved on quickly and wish we didnt but we are still here 6yrs later still strong. He is my best friend. I went from abusive husband and abusive mother (she is another story but yes, my husband and mother were both narcissists and very abusive towards me) to finding true love. I had a failed suicide attempt before I divorced my ex too. It was bad. I was very lonely and wondered why the hell cant I be happy. Not even my own mother loved me. Dont get me wrong life isnt perfect. We are struggling financially right now but I'd rather be with my soul mate and best friend than do it alone. He literally came as soon as I was giving up. It happens. And it WILL happen. I fully believe there is someone for everyone. Dont force it. Dont rush it either.

I understand how she feels, I lost my sister in 2015 and it was horrible. I'm getting married in a month and every day that the date gets closer, I don't want to do it. Not because my sister won't be there but also because my father and my grandfather won't be as well. But everyone deserves to happy, your loved ones who have passed away would want you to be happy.
