I can totally empathize and relate to what this poor girl was going through!! I got married in September brought my Mom my sister sister-in-law and niece (she's 9) and my daughter was on video chat bc I'm in Texas and she's in Philadelphia and everyone except for my mom was pulling a hundred dresses and wanting me to keep trying on trying on trying on and I got hot overwhelmed and confused that first day! I finally said that's enough I'm not trying on anything else!! I went to the next one I found a dress that I loved my mom and I both cried and I'm so happy that I listen to myself instead of everyone else because they were not only pushy but way too expensive also!!!

This episode aired some time ago. Thankfully, post-pandemic era, Kleinfeld's and many other bridal salons limit the amount of entourage members a bride can bring. 3 tops for Kleinfeld's. What a relief for the staff and brides!

And not just satin -- _that much_ satin, along with all the flowers and stuff. I thought the satin gown was just way too much for her soft-spoken personality. I think it was the bride's sister who mentioned how the skirt of the first dress reminded her of waves, which was perfect for a Lauderdale wedding. Nice observation, I think.

I think the fact that she made her decision when she was completely alone shows how detrimental to the decision-making process a large entourage can be. I don’t understand why brides think they have to please EVERYONE in their bridal party in the first place-maybe two or three close friends/family members at the most.

She made the whole wedding dress shopping more complicated than it should be. There is no point inviting all the people to the shopping especially all those bridemaids. The more bridemaids the more they are going to make it about them. In my wedding dress shopping experience I researched before hand. I knew what I wanted went there with small group of family and tried the dresses on especially the one I knew was the one . It was the 1st dress I tried on. That was literally it!

How do we know that they ALL invited themselves because it was KLEINFELDS. Seriously, sometimes that is the way people ARE and if a person is really sweet they don't or can't force them all not to come because people get MAD and cause DRAMA. I was married during a time when most people were away at college, I was not there and was at my parents home, so Mom and I did everything together. I don't think I even had a bridal shower. It was after Christmas in January so people cheaper out on gifts. ( although I had not really been thinking about that.) My Mom had nine children and raised more grandchildren and she said, " I can't stand it when twenty people who know better all sign up on a card for a set of pillows or something like that, it is wrong and they can do better." MY EX mother in law went through our gifts that she was storing for us and GAVE AWAY the best things to our friends when they got married and left me with the cheap stuff. I couldn't believe it, well, I could, no one was good enough for her "boy". Hence ex.

The bigger the entourage, lower the self-esteem and need for external validation. Just know yourself and what suits you, take mom or a best friend or a sister or just someone honest, supportive if you need feedback but I feel its best to just go yourself and make a good decision.

In Kleinfeld's main salon, not only is the bride always seated at the one side, but - surely - the production staff has already introduced the selling staff to the client/entourage and, most likely, they have had prior "takes."

She was so happy in the first dress and those “friends” ruin everything for her. Maybe don’t have them at the wedding if they think they can dress her better than the consultants. Her mom is so sweet and supportive and knows what she looks good in.

Julie, the Sales Director, was so right to give Carli permission to decide _not to_ decide, and to walk away for a while. Her intervention washed away tons of pressure. All poor, overwhelmed Carli needed was a few minutes of quiet alone with her thoughts and emotions. Suddenly, the decision was clear. It's nice Carli and her mother got to share the joyful "Yes!" moment together, without the in-laws exchanging glances and smirks in the background.

I tried on one dress. It was on a mannikin in the store window. It fit perfectly. The dress cost $40 because it was on the mannikin. No alterations needed. No entourage to make me second guess my choice. I looked good on my wedding, and didn't break the bank on a dress I wore once.

I always wonder why people give a low point for the budget. If you say budget is 3 to 6 thousand and there is a dress for under 3 that you might love they won’t even pull that dress even if it fits all your wishes. Also while they don’t encourage large entourages there doesn’t seem to be a limit to how many people you can bring. It makes the appointment crazy. Maybe the produces just want all the drama for entertainment. I wish it wasn’t so over the top ridiculous sometimes.

My BFF had a 12 person entourage (including me who was actually her MOH, so it was actually 13) and it was a disaster of epic proportions! When she did her vow renewal ten years later, there were 3 people there; me, her mom and one of her SIL's who was a big fashionista (and a bridal consultant herself)

The bride is beautiful and all the dresses were stunning on her. The satin dress was wonderful but it was not what she was looking for. She clearly said she didn’t like satin and wanted to feel comfortable. The in laws should have been more respectful of her wishes. Great that she was able to choose HER dress and best that she looked wonderful on it.

Great example of why you don't invite that many people to the appointment. Keep the opinions that matter the most - which is usually family. I would have my mom (in spirit), my sister, my MIL, and my MOH - and that's it. Maybe my other best friend, but cap it at 4 people. Anymore than that will invite chaos.

This is a good lesson as to why it's not wise to bring so many young women with you on your appointment. Although they sincerely wanted to help her, because she didn't have a clear vision in mind, they ended up overwhelming and distracting her. So glad she was able to listen to her heart admist all that noise. She looked exquisite in her pick!
