Bride Jennifer’s wedding is in 3 weeks time, she had to leave it so late buying her dress as she has gone through a massive body transformation going from a size 26 to a size 8. Jennifer loves vintage clothes so she wants a Victorian-style dress with long sleeves. Will David be able to find her a dress in such a short time frame?

First of all they have the styles, just not in every size. Which is why you see brides in dresses way too big clamped to fit to see if they like the style. A dress that off in size you do not want to alter to fit. You want it made from scratch. She also followed David's suggestion and contacted the designer who put in a rush to get the dress in her size. I do think the first dress may have worked. Since she could not visualize what he was saying, (I could not either) Daivd should have sketched it for her. She needed to reassurance they were on the same page, and he was not trying to sell her an alternate vison. We all know designers do that. She knew what SHE wanted.

@@Winner4HIM I got it though. She was losing weight. In my case I went on birth control pills and gained 10 pounds. I had to have last minute alternations and the dress was still a little tight. I did not eat anything for 3 days before my wedding so that dress would fit.

I really liked that they showed what she ended up wearing even though she didn't get it from the bridal shop featured. It's so frustrating when they don't give the dress and then we never get to see what they actually wore!

Well to be fair, he told her to contact the designer to see if they could help her, and she did. Nothing he said was wrong - he gave her options, and told her if they didn't work, to come back and they'd do what they could.

going from a size 26 to a size 8 in a year, i'm thinking she must've had gastric bypass. either that or she went on some SEVERE intermittent fasting, those are the only 2 things i've ever seen to cause someone to drop that much weight that quickly.

Strapless has become the bridal uniform. Brides say they want something different from other brides and they all come out looking the same. The only part that really changes is the bottom. Not all of us are fans of strapless. I'd get married in jeans and a tshirt before I'd wear strapless.

Sorry, but the consultant is rude. And it's not the first time. How can you even be so shocked that there are people who love other people no matter if they "look like that"?? The girl is judgemental. I also remember one more episode... She was so annoyed and said to the bride: "looks like you don't know what you want". Not really professional. I'm not trying to make a hate here, I hope they could sometimes think how it sounds like and consider the words they use.

I honstly agree with the bride on her taste for a vintage style dress. I'm not a fan of modern dresss and like almost every girl i dream of my wedding day. I've been stressing about what kinda dress I want because I know wedding store's arent going ti have what I'm looking for. I wasn't even looking for a dress because I'm not engaged or getting married yet but I found my perfect wedding dress at an antique store. Its a wedding dress from the 1980s and it looks like a princess ball gown almost like thr dress from labyrinth but a little different at the same time. It was 55$ and i didn't want to pass it up.

There are many beautiful and elegant gowns with sleeves, just not at David Emmanuel's. I'm so glad she stood her ground. The gown was beautiful. The gown I was married in had spaghetti straps, which I covered with a matching lace, long-sleeved bolero. It was perfect!

I think she said she had to wait until her weight loss was where she wanted it. If she was still losing or had started to gain a little it would not be wise to buy a dress way ahead of time. Tricky situation but very impressive. She was gorgeous and a class act.
