Bridge Delivery

Part of the new Forge Island pedestrian bridge has now arrived on site where it will be installed later this year. Watch our video to see it arrive to its new home!
It is based on the Bailey Bridge design, which was developed by Rotherham-born civil engineer, Donald Bailey, and has been manufactured by SH Structures, one of only a few companies in the UK who specialise in constructing complex steel bridges.
