@@lk5388 i think the fact that Last Kingdom was niche and under the radar is what allowed the show to start great and continue to be great from start to finish. one of the many factors and reasons for why Game of thrones and so many shows suffer in the end is because they blow up and get so popular. the Last Kingdom gained a large audience but it was never aiming for those Game of thrones level numbers. it also had a finished Source martial to adapt as well. the final 3 books came out while the show was being made and they are getting adapted in a special.

To be honest i never really cared for osferth. He seemed really underdeveloped and underused in earlier seasons and didn't really seem well executed for me. That said i started wondering what the reasoning behind this was: could it be the writers did not have time to give him a bit more screen time and to better explore his feelings towards being a bastard? Could it be the actor wasn't as good as he should have been? I didn't know what the problem was, and i didn't really care for him or like him until i shaw him die in season five. I just tore up inside with the actor's performance, he just delivered it so well and showed that in a world of battle hardened warriors who fear nothing and go to death with strength, there are still pretty normal humans who prefer living to dying. "Don't let me die Finan" was a lot more touching than the "I don't wanna die" delivered by Ivar ragnarsson in vikings. Hands of to the actor of Osferth, be did a great job.

So far 5 episodes and I can understand why the author left Brida somewhat adrift. The show bringing her back as some female viking warrior, abusing her child in the process, only to fail and loose that child when Uhtred could have saved her. In Brida's one and only battle, she failed. I confess the show's take on Brida could have had a satisfying conclusion last season with the birth of a child that meant more than vengeance. Each episode packs a punch, the scheming and politics are engaging. The show makes it clear that it takes time for "real" news to travel and the consequences of planted of misinformation are dire and heart breaking for all.

This was really (as someone that read all of the books , AFTER starting the first couple of seasons) . Was not good , too hurried . It was like they didn't even try to match up ! Yes there's going to be A movie , but why not MOVIES ??? They could have slayed these last 10 episodes knowing damn well nobody from the series was coming back for any of the movies ! If anyone read the last book , would get what i'm talking about . By the way I DO LOVE this show and series

If only this show had game of thrones budget could of done so much more here with that money although I know the battles may not have been massive for the time period anyway but still would of been nice if they had a bigger budget and more seasons cos I'm hooked I can't get enough of this show I rewatch every time a season comes out can't wait for the movie

Can someone please explain where uhtreds young bastard son came from, or do I have to wait for the movie? Spent this past week researching this series, and that scene of him with Hild left me puzzled.
@bridge42 жыл бұрын
When Uhtred last saw his wife Gisela, she already had two children and she was pregnant. So Osbert is the child whom she died giving birth to. And, at least in the show version, Osbert was raised in secret and doesnt yet realize that Uhtred is his father
@gronndar2 жыл бұрын
Show writers forgot him. Writers changed after S3, too harsh to expect them to check previous seasons. People get nagging about it, so they made this disjointed scene with Hild and Osberth in order to shut those whiners.

I need you, to work on ATTACK ON TITAN. It's also beneficial for you, the ALGORITHM for this is insane. Any person making an AoT video on youtube gets hundrends of thousands of views. (If that's what you are also looking for, apart from having to enjoy the GoT of Animes).

@@bridge4 Hell yeah man! And it has SO MANY MANY theories, and unfortunately the mangas ( drawing comic) has reached the end last year, meaning every answer for the theories has been answered. While the anime (animated drawing) is being released right now , the very last season is playing. Not everybody reads manga, not like me, many people are waiting for answers for their theories, What I would have liked you to do was to make videos similar to the ones you made for the colored dragonglass for Game of Thrones, but for Attack On Titan. When I told you LAST YEAR, to get into the wagon of Attack on TItan, you should have, you would be NOW making videos about it and getting, hundrends of thousands of views (not even kiddings, I see people just sharings scenes of the anime getting that numbers, i see people making remixes of its amazing musics ( Check "Samuel Kim Music") and getting even Millions of views.) Check this video to have an idea of ITS popularity ("Most popular anime of 2021") Also PLEASE please, don't take any spoilers, dont look into it with your main account, or you will get spoiler suggestiosn later (use private browser and open youtube) Now, it's maybe not too late to make videos about Attack On titan. In any case, first you have to enjoy it, and I am telling you , it is the Game of thrones of anime. Then you can ask yourself if you want to make videos about it. It's much much much more superior to any other sub tv show. Hope i convinced you. Again, don't get spoiled anything.

It´s dumb to end the show, i know we still have a movie left, but if im not mistake they had more movies, they could keep this going for more season, this show is so fucking good, so much better than woke crap like the new Vikings show on Netflix.
@ivaylospasov78122 жыл бұрын
it''s also better than the old Vikings series which were good until Ragnar's death. After that there was no persona which made you trilled and shitty storyline with some nonsense viking battles in the middle of nowhere.

@@ivaylospasov7812 dude the had one, the most dumb thing ever, like the guys from mercia divided their army, a smaller half on one side of the river, and a bigger half on the other side and the vikings were coming on boats in that same river and idk the mercians were expecting that the vikings somehow were going to divide their army i mean idk what they were expecting but Ragnar attacked the smaller army and the bigger army stayed on the other side of the river just watching. This was one of the most dumb things i ever watched,

Excuse me I have a complaint what happened to seeing the scene got to meet his other child his other son he didn't get to see it we didn't get to see it and do we think the king is going to cause some problems for futret and I really hope his daughter and her crew stay there so he's got extra backup and I'm really hoping it's not the King's kids that end up

I thought aelswith died in season 4???
@bridge42 жыл бұрын
she was poisoned, but it was left a cliffhanger. early in season 5, she was holding her stomach iirc. and she was nervous about being near people (though i tend to believe that related to the secret of Aethelflaed's cancer). but long story short, she came close to dying, but never actually did i think Aelflaed actually took a jab at Aethelhelm in season 5 about this when they were discussing killing Aethelstan. she said something like "will it work this time??" (as a nod to the fact that he failed to killed Aelswith as intended)

This season sucked so bad. Thank goodness it's over. I accept that they had license to alter the story but they took some hack plot from who knows where and shoved it in, made their principals a bunch of idiots and thickened the plot with the Scottish intrigue. I suspect budgets were the issue.

@@Marss13z Yeah. Can't believe these series which are based on books. You have ready material. Just edit some parts that won't work on TV and that's it. I'm unsure if I wanna even see that movie which should include last 3 books.

@@gronndar I get the impression that they ran out of money or some exec decides to can the series because there wasn't enough opportunity to do gay plotlines. They turned Edward into a sniveling moron just so they could tie up some loose ends and punish Stiorra for hooking up with the hot Dane. At least they didn't kill her like they did Aethelflaed. She banged a Dane too and they kill her off.
@gronndar2 жыл бұрын
@@Marss13z I heard it was after s2 Netflix owns IP so after every season, they had to wait for the green light in order to continue making yet another season. Yeah, they made Edward into an idiot so that would create drama and make Uhtred this gary stue hero who fixes everything. Aethelflaed I can understand since in the books she also dies during this time.
