I would love to know how they figure homeowners make money on their "investment". Mortgages are paid with post tax dollars. The cost of borrowing, even at historically low interest rates, basically doubles the purchase cost. Homeowners are a sizeable contributor to municipal budgets. We already pay those taxes after paying our share of fed taxes. Homeowners also pay to keep local tradesmen and suppliers in businesses through maintenence costs, renovations, upkeep.... And after we pay those bills, with previously taxed money, we can add PST, HST a/o GST. Insane they think they are entitled to more...

Stampede started July 5th Trudeau left for Washington July 7th. Please tell me why Trudeau needs to go to Stampede. He usually does but not this year. He is treated poorly in Calgary by many. Liberal politicians have never been welcome in Alberta. Pierre is their home grown boy. DaniellvSmith won’t look or shake hands in public with Trudeau. However when Trudeau got the biggest thing to collect carbon I guess she was all smiles and google eyed. Trudeau should never ever have built the pipeline to take product to west coast. Two papers in Calgary have written articles to say the pipeline will reshape the economy of Alberta. Thanks Trudeau we really appreciate your pushing forward with the pipeline efforts against all odds. No one shook or thanked him for that. Carbon tax when people show me that they are driving their vehicles being mindful of gas tax then I will reconsider.but right now people drive at speeds mindless of how much gas they are using. Last week I went to Dollerama to pick up a few items. I noticed a dodge ram truck running. No one in cab . Went in store for about a half hour ram still running. A young lady did get in truck and drove off. Why did she leave that on. Her gas bill doesn’t seem to matter much.
