That conversation between Stannis and Davos and I was like: "Wow, it would probably really be the best if Stannis gets the throne after all!" But imagine listening to that scene as someone who doesn't know english at a all. You probably would think he would be talking down in disgust to the one in front of him. Instead he gives him the highest praises possible. But that's just the way he speaks.

After Davos saved Stannis’s army from starving Stannis made him a deal. Stannis would knight Davos and make him a lord. But only if Davos would accept punishment for his smuggling crimes - to have the tips of his fingers on his left hand cut off. Davos accepted as long as Stannis did the chopping. Stannis obliged.

"An east wind blew through his tangled hair, as soft and fragrant as Cersei's fingers. He could hear birds singing, and feel the river moving beneath the boat as the sweep of the oars sent them toward the pale pink dawn. After so long in darkness, the world was so sweet that Jaime Lannister felt dizzy. _I am alive, and drunk on sunlight._ A laugh burst from his lips, sudden as a quail flushed from cover. "'Quiet,' the wench grumbled, scowling. Scowls suited her broad homely face better than a smile. Not that Jaime had ever seen her smiling. He amused himself by picturing her in one of Cersei's silken gowns in place of her studded leather jerkin. As well dress a cow in silk as this one. But the cow could row. Beneath her roughspun brown breeches were calves like cords of wood, and the long muscles of her arms stretched and tightened with each stroke of the oars. Even after rowing half the night, she showed no signs of tiring, which was more than could be said for his cousin Ser Cleos, laboring on the other oar. A big strong peasant wench to look at her, yet she speaks like one highborn and wears longsword and dagger. Ah, but can she use them? Jaime meant to find out, as soon as he rid himself of these fetters. He wore iron manacles on his wrists and a matching pair about his ankles, joined by a length of heavy chain no more than a foot long. 'You'd think my word as a Lannister was not good enough,' he'd japed as they bound him. He'd been very drunk by then, thanks to Catelyn Stark. Of their escape from Riverrun, he recalled only bits and pieces. There had been some trouble with the gaoler, but the big wench had overcome him. After that they had climbed an endless stair, around and around. His legs were weak as grass, and he'd stumbled twice or thrice, until the wench lent him an arm to lean on. At some point he was bundled into a traveler's cloak and shoved into the bottom of a skiff. He remembered listening to Lady Catelyn command someone to raise the portcullis on the Water Gate. She was sending Ser Cleos Frey back to King's Landing with new terms for the queen, she'd declared in a tone that brooked no argument. He must have drifted off then. The wine had made him sleepy, and it felt good to stretch, a luxury his chains had not permitted him in the cell. Jaime had long ago learned to snatch sleep in the saddle during a march. This was no harder. _Tyrion is going to laugh himself sick when he hears how I slept through my own escape._ He was awake now, though, and the fetters were irksome. 'My lady,' he called out, 'if you'll strike off these chains, I'll spell you at those oars.' She scowled again, her face all horse teeth and glowering suspicion. 'You'll wear your chains, Kingslayer.' 'You figure to row all the way to King's Landing, wench?' 'You will call me Brienne. Not _wench.'_ 'My name is Ser Jaime. Not Kingslayer.'" Plus it contained dragon glass, which is used to kill wights during the long night. Dragon glass hadn’t been mined and used in centuries. So my guess is it was left there by the first men thousands of years ago, when they still knew what dragon glass was used for and understood the language on the stone.

Like I said in the last video, Jaime has been captured for months at this point, probably more like a year now. He's not going to be at the same fighting strength as someone who is more practiced. Regarding Cat's decision, Jaime was causing a lot of trouble in Robb's camp and getting people worked up. Tywin would absolutely obliterate them if they killed Jaime. It's kind of a lose-lose situation since it pisses people off but I guess she was hoping that with time they'll see her point. One of the interesting things about Tyrion and his family is that no matter how much they treat him like shit he would never hurt them. Joffrey is his nephew and Cersei is his sister, he may despise them but he has shown no evidence that he actually wants to kill them. It's like Tywin I guess, he could have killed Tyrion or remarried to have more sons but he never did.

Regarding Catelyn releasing Jaime: As Brienne mentioned, if Jaime remained where he was, he would not have lasted the night. Everyone knew it, including Jaime himself. Some have speculated that he would rather be dead than a prisoner, at this point. However, let's look at the situation in the camp. Robb is gone to receive the surrender of the Crag, so he cannot impose his authority. The Karstarks are drunk and extremely angry, and out for blood. And how long before someone says "Let's go kill the Kingslayer?". The only thing standing between them and Jaime is Catelyn's slipping authority and Brienne's sword, but how long would that last? Catelyn had a hard, hard choice: either let the Kingslayer be murdered by the Karstarks and lose the only bargaining chip they had, or make him swear a vow to return her daughters in exchange for his freedom. It wasn't an easy choice, to be sure, and many people blame Catelyn for it. But what if she had done nothing? Jaime would be dead come the morning, and then what? She exchanged a 0% chance of getting her daughters back with a 1% chance. Robb doesn't really seem to understand this ("Jaime Lannister has played you for a fool."). Yes, well, maybe. But as a mother, she took that sliver of a chance instead of letting him be killed and losing it completely. I hope this clarifies things.

Tyrion didn't bring shae int the red keep until Varys had her sent there as Sansa's maiden. In the beginning Tiryon had to go to her in secret making and Cercie's spys look track of him: First he went to a brother, he asked for a certain Hore and they went in her room, then she opened a secret door and He went back in the streets after changing attire and putting a hood on, then he went to Shae. That's why Cercie thought she was the one, because her spys onlways sow him entering her room. She did not betray his secret even after she was captured by Cercie.

It blows my mind that people forget that the Karstarks were going to take Jaimie's head that night if Kat didn't get him ou of camp. Tywin Lannister obliterated the second-most powerful family in Westeros by killing all the men, locking the women, children, & infirm in a mine and flooding it. He did this because that family owed him money. He went to war when Tyrion was captured. What exactly do you think he would do to the Starks when he found out they killed his golden child? Yes, having Jamie alive and in custody is the best scenario, but that wasn't an option anymore.
